Just curious. The movie you are playing is just normal 720x480? any upscalling involve? If no than the projector or your DVD player must be damn good. Have u try hook it up to your pc and play some 1080 source that u can download from microsoft webside. Post a picture see how wonderfull it is.

I got a question, where do u put your crt tv? Put it at the corner? Or in the room? I have to drop the idea of setting it up in my medium room cause my brother is going to stay with me. If i put it in the living room just above my 32" LCD, it will be too high. and i cant afford to move the LCD everytime i wanna use the projector. Thinking of using motorized screen, but heard that the screen may get crumble overtime, plus its a lot more expensive that a fix screen. I am having an idea that making a screen like yours, then mount it in the way that it can be slide in from the side with some slider like a sliding door, since i have plenty of space on the left. Hmm, must be a lot of work. Oh to be able to do that i must first wall-mount my LCD since now it is sitting on a carbinet. Anyone did this before? Not sure how it will wroks?

I have made a 84" (16x9) screen from white plywood (those for furniture) 4 years ago, and painted it with ICI Pentalite Misty Evening (for those who followed AVS forum would know this favorite paint for grey screen at that time) I have hung the screen like a picture frame.

Goto Ace Hardware to buy the smooth roller, and paint it with the roller. The result is amazing as the board will have some fine texture.

All the other equipment are DIY, including wiring, mount and installation.

My screen is made of plywood, wall on the screen painted with pentalite black, surrounding wall painted with Jotun Burgundy Red (top half), bottom half sticked with Superlon sheet for sound absortion and curtains are Burgundy velvet material. Of course, the sofa beds are from Macys' Burgundy Red.

Your screen seems small for your room's size. Why not 100" instead? Well cant judge from the picture, but do u have the cinema feel when playing in a pitch black condition?

Wow your setup is nice, i like the way u decorate it, i like your tv cabinet very much. Where do u buy it and how much? Or u DIY it yourself? And DVD looks good even on a 480P projector. Should have bought a projector instead of LCD last year. Regreat! doh.gif

I assume u have only 2 ppl in your house. If u are staying with parents that may be a problem.
