QUOTE(celciuz @ Jan 3 2021, 08:27 AM) Sure cost a bomb! My friend introduced me to Mesh Secure (Majestec I guess) and I called David... so I quickly did measurements of the windows I wanted to install and roughly calculation it is at least 25k to cover all openings but well not an official quote yet.Intermediate terrace house je, minimal windows versus semi-d or bungalows. He did recommend to install only on open and close windows while those fixed ones just go with secure tint instead... but looks a bit weird. But on the side note, how's the quality so far? Build is good? I'm also looking for competitors to compare prices. My new home is a gated and guarded, will be fitted with alarm and CCTV so am thinking to grab these mesh instead of grill so it doesn't look like so "confined" with the metal bars. These are the alternatives I googled in Malaysia... https://optimawindow.com.my/arxtech/sliding...-security-mesh/https://www.panther-asia.com/I have surveyed most of it including those you listed, price range is more or less the same.

QUOTE(Snoy @ Jan 9 2021, 08:50 AM) During the first MCO, I managed to secure a super deal for RM57 psqft from an unknown vendor. Immediately ordered for my folding side and swing front doors, total 130sqft. The outcome is definitely much better than those security mesh grille from mosquito net vendors. Visually, I don't see much difference comparing to panther protect product too. No idea with optima. Anyway, the deal is over and price is back to about RM100 psqft. If you are looking for great deal, it may happen anytime during this pandemic. Hmm do you know the thickness of the mesh based on the price you get?

QUOTE(Snoy @ Feb 28 2021, 09:56 PM) Just ask them. :-) Also, they provide sample to show. Mine is 0.9mm SUS304. I had similar mesh door in my previous house for many years, hence I roughly can know the difference. I see..thanks. Quite a good price with promo you got there, but if normal price is 100/sqft, definitely it's a bad deal since can get better quality products with that pricing.

QUOTE(MeToo @ Mar 9 2021, 12:25 AM) 0.9 is good. I'm currently using 1.2mm feels too thick, visibility also affected... Currently eyeing on panther, arxtech and renex, but since you mentioned arxtech has low visibility guess will remove it from my list

QUOTE(MeToo @ Mar 25 2021, 10:48 AM) Mosquito netting have better visibility..... Rather you should go view all and see.... check their hinge design (exposed or hidden), check their visibility vs security (you cant have both, need to find a balance), check their lockset (some using china/local locks while others using ISEO/ABUS), check their frame thickness (thicker i feel uglier), check their wheels/roller (heavy duty or run the mill).... Yeah for sure will visit showroom to have further understanding about their products and compare between panther and the other one called renex. So far I think 0.9-1.0mm mesh thickness is the best in order to maintain both security and visibility.

QUOTE(aVexRikuu @ Aug 30 2021, 06:16 PM) have you installed yet? im also surveying for mesh I recommend you visit their showroom first for those in your list before make any decisions. Before this I have shortlisted to two companies and decided go with panther because the staff told me that the other company in my list is not even their competitor, plus their quality is guaranteed though pricey a bit.

After having the mesh grille till now, I would say the most obvious benefit is the unit barely got fly/mosquito compare to old unit. Even there's fly flew through when the door is open, you can see it's dead on floor somewhere the next day, might be overtired/starving cause keep flying and couldn't find an exit.
