I was thinking how to cut this mesh thing and came up with an idea.
Put a thick sharp rail in the mesh to create bigger hold, then use pliers to start cutting. I wonder if the shops let me try my idea. |

QUOTE(Snoy @ Apr 21 2021, 02:44 PM) Why would you want to do this? Thanks for the feedback. Was considering this because my house already has a wall of 6 feet. If extend with roof I was told I need to knock off the whole wall and rebuilt with pillar to support the roof. The cost for both mesh and ACP awning could be higher than normal tile roof and brick wall. Privacy is a problem when you turn on the light at night. Furthermore, no matter how good is the product, 24/7 exposure to sun and rain will cause the paint to fade off eventually. The mesh is normally powder coated which is not friendly for normal painting. The only benefit is the extension work with this is less messy than the wet work. |
