Is it because the firmware is rooted ?

Be careful with this GT1 Ultimate box. Serial number started with AX12 is having problem. 3D is not supported, meaning it cannot run 3D games.
Remember to check with the seller before you buy. I saw serial number started G912/S912 box no problem, can any sifu confirm?

Sounds like a firmware problem from the thread. All previous firmwares we're fine. Anyway I'm still on superceleron ATV build SCV2 for GT1 Ultimate. Very stable indeed

4K content is already rare and killing the bandwidth.

6K content, most of the time it will have to be down-scaled. A waste of bandwidth to bring down 6K content, downscale and play.

Hi, a noobie question. My GT1 comes with Android 6, and OTA update check always says latest firmware. Anyway I can activate OTA update, or I have to flash? My box is original untouched...

OTA work only same android version

for android 7 you need to flash fresh and reinstall all the apps.

I am looking to purchase one and beelink looks to be good as it has a forum member here.

I wonder it is save to purchase from Gearbest?
- Issue like Malaysian custom.
- Warranty, to send back to China, it is very expensive in term courier.

Are there local seller here in Malaysia?

I saw some ads at ladaza, 11street and they are very expensive.
Only I saw at Shoppe, it is more reasonable. However it only comes with Android 6 instead of 7. Support wise I am not sure.
Any recommendation ?

Another thing is the official Gearbest mention that the unit does not support iOS 9.0 and above for airplay or miracast.
Is this true? How to I share my ipad mini 2 with iOS 9.x running AOTG to this unit?
