is it a common thing among Lenovo laptops?

I have tested a few demo units in showroom, all cannot right click this way, checked the touchpad settings don't have the options either, however there is a two finger click to activate right-click available, whereas I tested on Asus, Acer, HP, all can use this two finger tap to right-click.

it is inconvenient to actually exert some force to bring up the context menu at this age tongue.gif

did you check touchpad setting ?
whether "use a 2 finger tap for right click" is tick or not
alternatively, download your touchpad driver
my brother using lenovo laptop no issue on it smile.gif

What is ur laptop model?
This has been bothering me too.

Mine is U31.
You can only right click using the touchpad with two fingers, press on the touch pad until u heard a click sound.. Might as well just click on the right click button on the touchpad..
While other brands usually just soft touch with two fingers. (No clicking sound) less mechanical failure too.

Hope someone can help.
