depends on what kind of chocs and brands.
And certain shop may have offer cos :-
1. they are main agent for that brand
2. short-shelf life
3. over stock
4. promotional offer by choc manufacturer.

Best is try shop around in Kuah town
Haji Ismail Group Sdn. Bhd
Saga Shopping Centre
Zeno Duty Free

Teoh Soon Huat is kind of on the fringe of Kuah Town but if you have your own transport do take a look.

if you don't have much time to shop, just straight go to HIG. No need to waste time and petrol to go all the shop whereby the price different is really not much.

Expiry date - all almost the same
Price - not much different
Variety - HIG, Zone Duty Free.

Went during cny, hig was cheapest. Imported cadburys chic bar was about rm7 which was cheaper than the locally made ones and expiry date was more than 8 months left. I heard the duty free status of Langkawi now has been reduced n restricted to only the big duty free shops. Is it true? Seems that it is a deliberate move due to Langkawi is pet project of Dr M

HiG no sell liquor stuff. Best go to shoplot in front of bayview hotel there. 7 to 8 shop sell duty free stuff around. Scout yourself see which 1 cheaper coz all price vary. Important is see expire date.
If u stay cenang, then u go beside underwater world there. The choc shop at cenang mall stuff mostly near expire date( very cheap ).

Just went and I share my experience, i stay at cenang that melati tanjung i think so
so b4 last day at nite went to cenang mall chocolate shop, totally not like because in term of separation of halal and non halal is confusing but if u prefer to buy non halal chocolate, cenang mall is the best place but when expiry date example daim they sold 200g for RM 9.90 and expiry date on October so not reasonable to buy so from there

i went out and quickly go to coco valley because i never know what time the shop will close since i am new even i went to chenang mall time was at 8 i was lucky to know the shop closed at 9 pm so at coco valley much better offer even my friend enjoyed to buy liquor there and still daim 200g price same rm 9.90 with expiry date is october same goes to kitkat 9.90 but expiry date is october but one you cannot miss to buy that ovomaltine crunchy cream expiry date is november maybe cannot finish but will still eat until feel somehing smile.gif

disadvantage of coco valley is they don't have whittaker so i went to next shop that is zon free duty & manage to buy whittetaker(9.90) and daim 300g! (14.50) so if u try to divide 300 and times 200 u will get 9.60 so it is worth to buy 300g instead of 200g smile.gif but they does not have rinter sport as coco valley had at rm 5.90

in mathematic formula im will say zon free duty + coco valley = HIG smile.gif

Although I had never been in HIG, just saw the pic is if u buy 3 got better offer smile.gif and more variety of chocolate smile.gif
