anyone know if there is any firework tonite at eye on malaysia ? planning to go for some photo shoot with my colleagues. Some of the gear that we will be bringing there, canon 400D, nikon D50, nikon D70s, nikon D80. Anyone wanted to join is also welcomed.

well..i didnt hear anymore fireworks for this few days..maybe they no more money to shoot anything anymore there..haha

best bet is to go on weekends..but the people and the jam are like hell when weekends.

good? no la..those r shoot on the grand opening..i missed all the firework..so just stop by at midnight and shoot some only...haha...all handheld no tripod at all....shutter even as low as 1/4s.

1.3 seconds, ISO1600, 70mm F5.6 zoomed out to 18mm and back to about 35mm.

I discovered by accident that the lights on the Eye Of Malaysia were neon lights! (Neon lights flicker like this with motion blur.) I counted the number of flickers in a 1/4th of a second exposure - 25 flickers, meaning 100 flickers per second or 100 Hertz.

That is one hell of a shot

my collegue told me there will be fireworks until Feb, anyone can confirm that ?

why the hell do they even wanna copy the name from London Eye. Don't malaysian have any creativity left and come up with our own name instead of ripping it straight from London Eye.

I am not against us malaysian from building the same thing here but for god sake...at least call it our own name!!!!

they build this same thing not only here in malaysia..many other big cities also got this same thing..

I heard that the last fireworks run was last Sunday. Luckily I went! (Which explains the huge crowd of tripods.)

OMG ! is it... aiya i missed it !

Feb 1 was supposed to be the last day with FWs. However, it's not that great, coz they're only firing the fireworks from the speedboats and those water bikes.

Here are my pics because i don't have dslr so the pics are shoot using sanyo VPC-AZ3EX.

I know that my pics is not very nice cause the background like rainy day....

The day i shoot these picture is after the fireworks ceremony. I miss the beautiful fireworks.....

Please post some comment when u guys see it.......i will improve my skill....
