They might have just got caught up in the whole startup frenzy. Hipster trend la.
I don't think they had the general corporate and life experience to pull it off (judging from their presentation pitches), but of course that is where Digi comes in as their mentor. Their FB page has interesting comments - one that took attention was the potential corruption involved. If anyone is interested you can check their FB page, search for Grabgas. Look for the post which has the most comments - and grab not your gas, but your popcorn. |

QUOTE(Sesshoumaru @ Aug 31 2016, 03:46 AM) They might have just got caught up in the whole startup frenzy. Hipster trend la. To be honest, I'll be hesitant to comment on possible corruption until there's more solid evidence of it. There's always a certain amount of trust involved for such competitions, and very very very rarely do they ask to see your source code. They're more concerned on how solid your team and business plan is. Technology can always be improved on later, but they do at least need to have a MVP level product running, which they did at the time they were pitching to Digi.I don't think they had the general corporate and life experience to pull it off (judging from their presentation pitches), but of course that is where Digi comes in as their mentor. Their FB page has interesting comments - one that took attention was the potential corruption involved. If anyone is interested you can check their FB page, search for Grabgas. Look for the post which has the most comments - and grab not your gas, but your popcorn. It does sound like they're trying to hide a lot of things from the Digi mentor as well, looking at their comments in the whatsapp conversation about: 1) not wanting to bring this payment/renumeration issue to the Digi mentor 2) not comfortable with revealing why they do not want to bring the issue to the Digi mentor. It very looks very much to me like a bunch of n00bs trying to play corporate politics without the experience to pull it off. |

QUOTE(SadSoul @ Aug 30 2016, 05:12 PM) I still use a gas stove. And purposely looked for a gas stove when I moved house early this year. Still cannot get used to using an electric stove.Interesting thing is, even though its a new neighborhood and all that, there were already name cards for gas delivery in my mailbox. Convenient too, don't even need to call. Just SMS my address to the number on the card, and 30 minutes later the guy's here with a new tank of gas. |
