New weapons are highlighted by the long-range Shock Rifle and the shorter range Flack Cannon, and more than two dozen weapons will be ready to wield when UT3 is ready in the second half of 2007.

The new single-player campaign is deeper and more engaging than before, and players will be happy to know that old favorite characters have returned and are joined by several new ones. Epic plans to provide advanced online changes to suit all three platforms, bringing seamless loading, improved matchmaking and co-operative campaign online play. Yes, cooperative online play indeed. Familiar online modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag will be joined by an all-new Warfare mode among others.

OOHHHH YEAHHHHH !! I was so happy when I read this news! This will be awesome Another game to be added to my already long wishlist, damn I'm gonna be broke this year.

Ok im bringing the thread back to life becoz some of you guys were mentioning it in GOW thread. Rumours say that UT3 will be released on the XBox on March. I've played it on the PC, but got frustated with the tinny winny numbers of ppl who play it on lag free servers. So pls show a hand if you're getting this game for Xbox, i want to know how many peeps i can look forward to fragging XD

is it same like the one in ps3 ??? Cause it is ugly as hell..and the gameplay..OMG..playing on the pc was so much better..and yes, im playing on the ps3 with keyboard and mouse..

Most likely it will look like the ps3 version. Last time Tim Sweeney said the 360 version will be like mid-range pc UT3.

Anyway this game is still best play with K/M because it's built for that. I am giving it a pass though because i think UT has lost its magic, on March there is Army of Two.

Rumor has it that is 90% completed and even a gaming magazine has this to show for it ...

Well UT3 is a solid shooter at its core, but i admit it has no innovation, maybe a little too art focused, fans will enjoy it, but newcomers should look at other shooters coming out. Maybe why UT3 wasnt so great was becoz Cliff Blezinski wasnt an integral part of this game, he's only credited in the Special Thanks section. If he's not working on UT3 he's definitely working on another game, and i'd put my money that the game is Gears of War 2 XD.

I guess so ... but im a fan of UT3 when it 1st came out. Some more UT3 characters reminds me on GOW. Just imagine if UT3 where like GOW, surely hit title wan

I got UT3 on ps3, honestly the game so bored and disappointed me. A lot of ps3 user sold the game at garage sale.Imagine the champaign/single play is only play with bot. huhu. Better save the mood for GOW 2

Deeper and more engaging single-player campaign? Man, the fella who wrote the article must have been duped by the UT3 team.

Its a good game for UT3 fan, but if you are looking for an engaging shooter, I am afraid this is not.

UT was never a single player champaign , not even part of it . It's multiplayer all the way .

Besides , UT in consoles will missed out all the mods that PC version delivers . It's those mods that made UT a great game .

PS3 UT3 got mod also if im not mistaken

I didnt feel the fun of it multiplayer compare to COD4,Halo3 and GOW........it just what i felt, dunno about others

That I know but I think Epic did promise a more "engaging and deeper" single-player campaign. I guess that is true if the previous versions had none to begin with.

PS3 version have mods, not too sure if the same support will be offered to the 360 version.

Last time i play the multiplayer UT3 on ps3 doesn't have voice support. Damn bored play it silently keke. I'm not sure about now,got patch to fix that? Bcoz i sell my UT3 copy already kekekekek.

I doubt it's as flexible , or total conversion for the mod in UT2004 . Alien Swarm and Red Orchestra type of gameplay for example .

So which one u prefer?UT3 or UT2004?

Besides , UT3 characters that rip off ala Gears is a turned off . Look at the variety of models from UT2004 , like Harlequin ^^ .

UT3 has been noobified a little for the consoles!

What i heard is they dumb down the speed of console version (ps3 for now).
I don't know, i played the pc version only.
No strafe jumping, slower speed, messy game mode. Sad face.

Fast gameplay but i didn't get the feel as i get from play halo3,GOW and COD4 multiplayer. From my eye, GOW graphics is better then UT3. Recommended to rent or buy the 3rd hand one (xperience from the PS3 version)

I've played a little of both so far, didn't notice any difference, but the PS3 version felt pretty fast. Maybe that's because I only played 2 or 3 matches on each platform Wait till I get my new rig

i love teh game.. if it comes out for 360 also i'll get it.. it got me wishing if gears of war 2 would incorporate hoverboards in it.. dat would be nice.. =) without a doubt, ut has always been fast paced action packed 1st person shooter...

I'm a big big fan of this game and hearing that it will be release to Xbox360 is really amazing.
I do hope that we have some fans in Malaysia who will buy this as well, as it shall be more fun to play with local friends rather then far far ones.
But the question is not sure when we can get in here. I do hope early July as well.
And guess what U3 for 360 get more content then PS3 & PC.. Ha ha...


Unreal Tournament III dated for Xbox 360
Epic Games fragfest makes its belated arrival on Microsoft's console July 7 with new split-screen play, maps, and characters.

Back in February, Epic Games president Mike Capps lamented the unfortunate timing of Unreal Tournament III's launch for the PC and PlayStation 3. Released toward the tail end of the "FPS Christmas of All Time," the latest in Epic Games' first-person shooter series was competing against The Orange Box, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Crysis, not to mention fall releases like BioShock and Halo 3, to name just a few high-profile entries in the genre.

Now Epic's latest shooter might be getting a second lease on life. Unreal Tournament III publisher Midway has announced that the Xbox 360 edition of the game would be arriving in stores July 7. The game will be released in Europe on July 4.

While owners of Microsoft's system have had to wait a half-year longer for the game, they are getting more features and content as a result. In addition to a new two-player split-screen mode, the game will come with five new maps, two new characters, all previously released downloadable content from the PS3 and PC editions, and a video preview of Epic's next Xbox 360 game, Gears of War 2.

im a unreal tournament fan, but i have to say, UT3 Sux on PS3, bought for 2 days then i sold.... i dont think there will be any difference on 360..

really... hope there will be more players then only i buy or no no point right...
better i get battlefield then...

or i wait for 2nd UT3 or wat.. dono la..
