Rooney have been consistently poor in the past 2 seasons while still maintaining the status as starter player. Obviously, everybody have the right to piss off with rooney, especially when he have been disrupting the flow of attack in soo MANY occasions.....!!!

Yes, other players are to be blamed too, but why not we start wit rooney first. After all,  he have been in decline, slow and old. He can play some important role but certainly not a starter anymore. We should build the team around somebody who could be the future of the club not the old horse that in decline. Even giggs is not an automatic starter towards end of his career.

Tricky call. He's always been streaky, but from memory he's also (mostly) been given time to play himself into form when he was younger.

Now that he is in his 30s, bench him = will he then be able to find a way to win back his place in the starting team, or will he be even worse over time and also end up affecting team morale with his unhappiness?

The other big problem is (from memory) every time Rooney has been benched/rested.. the media has gone nuts about it but the team has not found another gear either.

If he gets rested (e.g. Europa) and the team hits form then the manager can say it's justified. Since it's so open...... I think JM will give Rooney a chance for some amount of time.

Just that the fans are more impatient after 3 seasons of frustration with the team and Rooney.

the problem is in his glory day he were able to produce magic moment at at frequent interval. His speed or perhaps his position as a forward player mask all the weakness. but now, he make far more mistake. waiting for him to produce a brilliant moment is like waiting for liverpool to win any silverware.

Despite all these, Rooney is keeping his starting position in every single game and no manager is dare to criticize him. so there is no wonder why a lot of fan is so piss of with Rooney. what is less understandable, is your persistence to defend him despite you admitting his weakness.

there are many player changes in that games, so there might be other factors. Even then, it will take few games without rooney to show result as the strategy might need to be adjusted/changed.

other player make mistake and will be dropped the next game but not rooney, despite consistently poor performance, he will be guaranteed a starting place in the next games.

other players might be blamed for every downfall, but there is one player that is consistently poor in each of those downfalls even if he is not directly causing the loss... 

doesn't matter bcoz he probably deserve it, it's not like he is playing good or at least OK/average level on all those games. As a team captain who is earning extraordinary amount of money, this is not the level of playing expected of him.

The team might have tried with different sort of changes before, but there is one changes that have never been tried bcoz it seem no manager is dare to do it (or probably it's a delicate matter). Don't point me to that Feyernood games where there is so many changes in player.

so consistently being poor is acceptable in the team that is aiming for excellency in sport.

Yes he is not the only one, but why not start with him for this time, the team have make change with other player but not him. If thing doesn't not work out too after a while, then put him back and let him play until his death...

Which is why a lot of fans are pissed off with Rooney, bcoz nobody know why he cannot be benched despite succesion of poor performance.

even you defending Rooney will have no effect on Rooney survival in the team. What you need to understand is that why certain fan will keep blaming rooney... afterall it is not like he is playing well to avoid any criticism....
