QUOTE(MechaLEE @ Aug 28 2016, 10:13 AM) what happen to the "global car" , "game changer"? proton dont even export preve to overseas anymore Proton Cars Australia has no plans to import any extra units of the Proton Preve once it sells out its remaining stock of the car in 2016. <a href='http://
/2015/12/14/proton-preve-to-run-out-in-australia-no-restock-plans/' target='_blank'>http://
/2015/12/14/proton-preve...-restock-plans/ http://www.caradvice.com.au/402956/proton-...ement-in-sight/turns out this global car/game changer is not good enough in the international competition. heck, turns out it is not good enough locally too now used are more affordable, like rm35-40k? ppl seldom buy new preve

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 28 2016, 10:22 AM) Can't really check the gearbox and mounting, but the EVP definitely is true. Oh and the 6 airbags (previously was 4 airbags). dunno transmission mounting already using the suprima one.... but i think already on the production kot... this is my project before left the company...prioritize suprima first due to low order so mounting can be made just in time(to build up the stock)... still thinking who is the engineer that proposed that kind of mounting in preve first....

QUOTE(MechaLEE @ Aug 28 2016, 12:18 AM) since the recent launch of the new proton persona, proton CEO also announced that they will sell Preve at a turbo-only version . Just want to know if there will be any improvement on this car for the 2016 model? ie will it have all the suprima S improvements on this new 2016 Preve? will there be any facelift ? improvements of the punch CVT ? or it is just an old stock clearance action taken by proton . or proton are forcing ppl to take the "more expensive" version of the Preve Nope. There is no improving Campro or Punch. If can, they would have done it years ago. Furthermore, it doesn't make sense to waste more money on R&D on failed models.

QUOTE(DSEcomp @ Aug 28 2016, 12:49 AM) i seriously want to know preve turbo cvt vs persona manual 2016 which better acceleration lol , what i know is persona manual 2016 is better fc..... save rm27k too persona MT will serve u better... be it a turbo or not, cvt3 for 1.3tonne of metal on preve is not a high adrenaline kind of machine... summore coupled with the wet clutch punch, its slow on moving from standstill

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Aug 29 2016, 05:35 PM) But why Fc for CFE like hell? City driving experience the test they done on preve is cruising at 100km/h... is skewed... or misleading... they should have done a proper once... city drive+cruising+stop+start+a bit of hill slope... i cant remember the name of the test.. but its adopted by most of the JDM manufacturer... preve brochure stated 6.7l/100km suprima is 8.7./100km.. mind u its a same engine with slightly heavy kerb weight (suprima had extra 30kg++ donno where it comes lol)

Used preve cfe for 1 week for work at kl. jam like typical kl during weekdays. One time 18L/100km at speedometer. Rm70(rm1.75 rm/l yield at 350km, fuel light at 340km) 2. Test on accord 2.4 2014, same route, time, different week. Rm70 (rm1.75 rm/l yield 445km, 11.125km/l) Turbo problem?

Furthermore, it doesn't make sense to waste more money on R&D on failed models. i was sad because at that time, Proton say that Preve is a "Global car, world game changer, Euro safety standard NCAP 5 star, emission CO2 complies eurozone, engine tuned for Euro 5 petrol, car is successfully tested in artic ice country and hot desert, Preve is equivalent to BMW i3 standard etc etc" now u say Preve is a failed model ?
