i do agree that matic+kante combo seems to defensive but we need to be wary as well on our defensive frailty, hence matic+kante makes perfect sense. unfortunately this combo also flawed in terms of creativity and our reliance on hazard, oscar , willian/pedro.

lets see if JT unavailable against pool and who would conte field for CB and for DM. im rooting for luiz and fab but i got the feeling we will see matic again until he feels our defensive unit is ready for it.

I just have a feeling atletico's persistence to bring him 'home' will eventually bear fruit,but that transfer ban they just got slapped with is a blessing in disguise which ensures he'll stay put for awhile yet
