Hey guys.. wondering whether this phone has the option to disable background data for individual apps when using mobile data..

I had it in my note 2 but can't find it anymore.. is it hidden somewhere?

i just realized that the wireless charger connected requires micro  usb instead of type c, and its not bundled with right? kindly enlighten me if wrong? no wonder some users complained that the charging speed is slow with 3rd party cable.
*
I think that is why they provide additional free travel charger and micro usb cable.. for the wireless charger

the fingerprint sensor is not very stable...

yesterday, totally cannot work and i had to use pin/ iris to unlock phone and then restart.

just a few mins back, i saw a notification/ message saying the fingerprint sensor is not responding.

i'm on the latest firmware. i guess Samsung still got a lot of work to do. i just hope they dun ignore it. smile.gif

you have to check whether you installed apps that kacau the home button like "touch to return to home" kinda apps.. sometimes other apps can mess up the system.

I've created google form so we can find out how's the current defect rate of our Note7. Everyone can view the result after the survey.

Same... I don't feel like returning back since mine is awesome.

But will see what problem caused they to recall.

If is battery , then better return cause i dont want take chances with it.
*
yeah, i agree with you.. better return if really carrying around exploding phone, maybe my battery is good cos i try to trickle charge my phone by using laptop to charge so it takes 5+ hrs to charge up.. i notice it's weaker when using fast charging

What settings do you use for your N7?

My battery life is always about 1 day with 1 hour++ of gaming and surfing net.

I read some people can achieve 2 days of usage?????
*
i don't do smart switch, i trickle charge using laptop usb port, my brightness is slightly lower, but i don't use power saving mode much.. always on display i turn off at night.

last night i charge to max and sleep at 1am, wake up 7.30am still have 97% without AOD.. can try to optimise your phone using the samsung device manager settings.. and sleep all apps that you are not actively using, that's about it..

i guess basically there are few type of battery stat so for i saw
2-3h SOT
4-5h SOT
6-8h SOT

is it because of different batch?
mine at first only can 2-3h sot, but i use aggresive doze and PDP so it can 4-5h SOT
is saw many daigor here like normal use also can 6-8h SOT??

i dn instal much apps also, wechat, whatapps, facebook, messenger, and some google apps only

i also dont know how to talk with SC about this
*
my phone also has these, and i installed a bunch of games, wanna try out the free samsung bundle games, but i put the apps to sleep if i dun use.. fy, my mobile data and locations is turned off or i get probably 4-5 hours SOT..

my advice to ppl with bad battery life is trickle charge your phone with lowest watt (i use normal computer port), usually will charge around 5-6hours from 10%.. try this a few times and report back your battery life if background running apps is not the problem..

for those that say you will never buy a Samsung again, i believe this is just emotions talking.

Would you say you will never buy a car that has had global recalls again? Toyota, Honda, Takata Airbags etc..

Food for thought

Good to know they will give SP rclxms.gif

they didn't promise to give or say they will give, they just "noted" it down, what i meant was if enough ppl mention it, they might consider providing.

Say would you spend 10K in a court case for a RM3000 phone? Make no sense.

Bringing it to court cost a lot of money. Big companies can drive the plantiff out of money by playing the dragging game and delay the court. This is how some of the malaysian businessmen make money and be rich. To steal from others and nothing they could do about it.
Not sure about many class action here in Malaysia. Does it even work?

i doubt legally anything can be done, this is a voluntary replacement by Samsung HQ and is not mandated by law.. If SME refuse to replace, the most we can do is complain to HQ as this will impact on their reputation.. my 2c la..

what "typical"? while we're all grateful Samsung is doing this total recall, it's also because this recall can potentially be fatal.. imagine burning down house, etc..

some ppl don't live next to SC. some are out of town and this exchange is actually making then have to travel extra.

while I won't say SME should compensate, but if they do, I think it helps make things better for all. costumers are happy. and happy customers is always good.

earlier I did suggest some form of compensation that don't really "cost a lot" like:
* free second year warranty. fact is, most of the time, the hardware is still good in year two sms not many will claim. they only lose extra revenue from sales of warranty.
* let customers keep accessories.. well, some stuff like ear buds don't really get refurbished, so, might as well let ppl keep it. maybe cables and adaptors too..
* SP.. well.. this one do cost them to lose some money. but if Samsung is producing it, fact is.. the cost is like s few cents only. having said that, if they don't give also I'd still buy new ones.
the using phone naked part.. I believe it's more to those who use a case but now intentionally use without.
