IINM, so far there's 2-3 users who reported the same issue in here.
*
So far i've encountered it twice but solved it by lock and unlock the phone again. Weird issue there.

Done testing. No problem on my set. The first batch.

I have this prob, sometimes work sometimes don't work. I tried to lasso on more complicated shape then shit happens after that. I cannot even use square or round anymore after that. Don't know how to recover it then suddenly can work again.

I've created google form so we can find out how's the current defect rate of our Note7. Everyone can view the result after the survey.

Well i have about 42 results so far with interesting results. This is just a small sample compared to the 4000 units from SME and unknown number from telcos/senheng/courts.

Anyone can make this viral? post on Samsung Malaysia FB Page to get their attention? bring forth to tech blogs such as Lowyat.net, Soyacincau, theSkop, Amanz?

like u said.. this is just a small sample of LYN users.. just imagine the disaster outside..
*
Sadly the sample cannot justify as like another forumer said it's only less than 1% of the sample and we also cannot be sure that 100% of the poll is real or not (unless i enable gmail login to keep track of users). Samsung SC tracking is more accurate, and only if we have inside people to know what's the defective rate like tongue.gif

What i can see that ppl who had problem with their phones only come to forum to ask for help and those working perfectly usually just come to visit read up about other problems. It is possible to have false sense of high defect rate as well.

After all, we tend to make more noise when having problems, and keep quiet when no issue right? tongue.gif

But still people lost their confident towards samsung and bad image
When Apple launch iphone, people loses their mind and there goes N7. GGWP sales
*
Apple also have its own problems. My iphone5 was the one with problems, bloated battery, pink screen, power button failure. These 3 issues are known worldwide and had to be recalled. Iphone4 with antennagate, home button failure, lcd horizontal/vertical lines.

The most worrying issue is the exploding battery.

I charge my HP everyday beside my bed, so dangerous lah

Hope Samsung can find out the reason ASAP
*
No worry la, use ori cable + ori charger. Anything happens can still sue samsung for compensation.Maybe some used the non standard usb-c adapter which is explained here
http://mashable.com/2016/03/30/amazon-usb-...d/#O2tJXmgDNsqn

A shop owner offered me usb-c cable for rm20 which i declined because i'm not sure if the cable is compliant to the usb spec or not. This guy Mr Benson Leung took the trouble to review a lot of usb-c cables and adapters which you can find it here.
https://plus.google.com/collection/s0Inv

I personally recommend the xiaomi usb-c adapter because it's dirt cheap and certified by Mr. Benson

Now you know why so many exploded Note7 cases....

Not so useful in real life. This test is just playing continuous video in airplane mode sweat.gif
Point of this test just to test the hardware capability. Still a lot of factor like wifi efficiency, LTE efficiency, which comes into play.

Using the Samsung sp and this casing, no lift up issue. Casing is slim tpu  on minimal protection. Top and bottom slightly loose but I'm fine with it. What I like most is the back hairline matte surface, no more oily fingerprint.

araree airlift case

Tech21 evo frame also no lift, but i dislike the huge bumper like feeling although it provide protection.

QUOTE(ebackbone @ Sep 1 2016, 02:48 PM)
i wonder. all those who brought phone in for warranty, before you sign off on the phone, did you literally bring a pail of water to test the phone is IP68 still?

or you just assume it will be IP68 certified still?

cause warranty wise, samsung has disclaimer against liquids yet all around when promoting note7, they have people literally dunk the phone in water and use it still.

so if you sign off on the phone WITHOUT testing in front of the people there that it is still IP68 proof, then any problems in the future is on you thumbup.gif
*
To be honest even got highest rating of IP i also wont dunk in water. There's too many inconveniences such as muddled speaker, headphone jack filled with water, s-pen hole filled with water, charging jack unable to charge.

Throughout my whole life all my phone never touched water. Just treat this phone as additional protection in case your phone really drop in water. Usually almost immediately we retrieved it already If the phone drop in water. Exception is some rare cases where the phone in jeans got washed together in the washing machine for some period of time.

ya. but if i were part of the people who had to bring in the phone for warranty, i'll definitely test the phone out right in front of the people and if the phone really fail that test, for sure i can proof that it is their fault not to properly seal the phone back instead of blame it on user biggrin.gif
*
Sony previously advertised their phones are rated at IP68, but too many ppl taking it for granted and bring it to swim and end up many people dissapointed that the phone isn't truly waterproof at all (water damaged). Sony later changed the terms not advisable to be used underwater.

maybe i was lucky, from z1 to z3 ,never fail me. i brought to swimming pool and even to maldives. captured lots of under sea photo and video as well. was forgotten to take off the casing and dry the phone, the phone got rusted at side the 2nd day lol.
*
I guess you're lucky biggrin.gif

The rubber seal can deteriorate over time if in touch with none other than fresh water. Samsung is using adhesives for the front and rear panel, which i think is considered a "quick fix" compared to rubber seal all around to provide better sealing. If the adhesive not put properly during production, the seal may introduce small opening for the water to enter.

The speaker area is also weak point for water to enter because it uses some kind of a mesh to prevent water from entering. Once the mesh cannot counter the water pressure, the water will enter through the speaker. That's why samsung put 2 water markers near the sim card slot and speaker because that's where the weakest points are.

Im hoping for a global recall actually,

U GUYS WHO SPENT 3K ON A FLAGSHIP DONT DESERVE TO LIVE LIKE THAT WITH THE NOTE 7..i mean come on, so much money and u need to be scared that the phone will explode?? And summore some forumer give suggestions to off quick charge, turn off pbine when petrol station etc etc...this is total bullshit that samsung can let the QC become this bad

And hence im hoping for the global recall..u guys deserve better, and so its only fair that samsung refund u guys full amount or a new batch of non problematic note 7
*
Chill, news article already said that samsung is finding out which supplier is providing sub-par battery packs. In this case it is pointing to Korean ITM Semiconductor. Not all note7 are affected because samsung uses multiple supplier for its batteries. Battery exploding is a serious case, involving life/death. It is unlike bootloop issue. Just wait for the recall if Malaysian batch is affected.
