Should not check, should be 1to1 exchange. Just imagine how long is it going take for SC to check through so many, and chances some might be missed or end up with some other issue when the phone was not put back properly. What happen to water resistant after open up all units to check. Too many probability if open and check. Just one to one exchange, they can slowly take their time to check returned units.

Ok just spoke to CS. Given my IMIE, next is wait for someone to call me back to advise on how to go about doing 1 to 1 exchange....

But I like my current phone wor, battery can tahan lama lama tongue.gif

Yup. Bought other Samsung phone before from GS and send to SC for some warranty repair. Never an issue with the name, they only check as Long serial Valid and legit

They should allow transfer. Make sure to get a new extended warranty cert with new serial / IMEI when exchanging phone.

Well, they are big company and the news are out for the world to read. It will a wrong move if they don't recall. Why globally and not random batch? I don't think they know where are those batches of consumers are, and instead of spending more time on investigation and waiting for next one to happen, it is better to recall all and going through one by one in manufacturing line or lab. Global recall with one to one exchange is a wise move, giving consumers the confidence and trust towards Samsung. If not just imagine what the sales going to be like for the next flag ship.

I bought both extended and screen crack. I asked SC last night and he said it will be transfer to new phone, fair enough, that should be the correct thing to do. Let's see what happen during exchange, if they say the opposite guess I will just have to lodge a case again them.

With or without case? I use with case and certainly I don't feel heat even if the temp goes up to 40. Install GSAM battery monitor which allow a quick access to temp and battery info.
