 Maxis VOIP issue

Hi maxis support,

Subscribed Maxis fibre 10MB recently and only started using its VOIP by connecting a Dect phone. However, whenever i dialled in to the VOIP number there is no ringing tone. Checked the router it says VoIp service is registered and connected.

Please assist.

Hi drifters,

Try to perform this method to rectify the said concern:

1. Check physical connection of the phone. Phone cable from dectphone's base must connect to Phone 1/Phone 2 on your router (RGW)
2. Open a supported browser and enter http://192.168.1.254
3. Click Toolbox
4. Click Telephony
5. Click on Configure at the right top corner
6. Click Delete
7. A setup page will display
8. Key in details as below and then click Apply:
SIP URI : 60358876232
Username : 60358876232
Password : 603588762321
Confirm Password : 603588762321
Display name : (Empty)
Abbreviated number : (Empty)
Port : All
9. Make sure both Status and Register is in green tick

Hi,

Under telephony there is no configure link. only overview and details.

btw, the SIP, username and password should be my assigned telephone number right?

currently both status and registered is green tick.

Hi,

Yes, that would be the telephone number. For password, its your phone number +1.

Yes issue persists. As mentioned there is no configure link under telephony.

I know this is an old thread but i am having the same issue now. Only diff is router is showing green tick under status but red cross under registered. Tried all the variations - seems to still not working. Anyone can help?

Variations tried
1. 03XXXXXXXX with +1 as password
2. 603XXXXXXXX with +1 as password
3. 03XXXXXXXX with acct#+last 4 digits as password
4. 603XXXXXXXX with acct#+last 4 digits as password

problem solved. raised this through Maxis's online chat - the lady couldn't help but she graciously enough arranged for someone else to call me. That person called the next morning - and told me that my VOIP pw has been reset. Not sure why and how, but he gave me a new password - what seems to be a random generated text, not using these +1 stuffs. So maybe Maxis has changed all the password to unique texts - no longer these +1 or +4 digits passwords.
