Overall, the RN4 (Snapdragon) seems comparable with RN3 (Snapdragon)'s performance on a general usage. Again, it depends on users' preference between sheer power vs battery life performance.

Dunno..opened the box and its already applied. Not mine though. Haha

But, the tempered glass does not fit well due to curved glass. Is there any way to fix this?

I've seen tempered glass that covers the RN4 edge to edge (including curved sides) on Aliexpress before. You may wanna have a look. smile.gif

in that video in the description, he clearly mentioned the cases are compatible with RN4 global / RN4x so i dont get your point.
I dont own both so i cant really confirmed it. But some info i found out are:

Both SD version comes with same codename: "Mido". Xiaomi wont use same name for different phone (eg: kate-kenzo for RN3). Some user here already managed to flash RN4 global on 4x.

So far i only noticed differences for SD vs MTK. Different camera placement, holes at top, LED sensor placing and different LCD connector ribbon ( need to be extra careful when replacing lcd if broken).

QUOTE(GameSky @ Mar 6 2017, 08:53 PM)
different dimension? between mtk and sd ver?
*
Another difference is that RN4 (Snapdragon) is 1mm thicker than RN4 (MTK). I've compared the spec sheet on both the India and China websites. This will be stg to look out for when buying a case.

bro, u have received Malaysia Variant right? Can u snap pic of the box whre its stated what LTE Band supported. Usually at the back of the Box to confirm.

Both website post specs based off Indian Redmi Note 4 variant.  Redmi Note 4 comes with three different baseband variant. Xiaomi Malaysia will be shooting their own foot if they sell Indian Variant here. The only Redmi Note 4 with single band WiFi is sold in India and based off Xiaomi Malaysia post, Redmi Note 4 sold in Malaysia comes with dual band WiFi.
*
I didn't check the bands listed behind the box (Malaysia set), but i saw "Made in China" printed there under the IMEIs. There are also "Global edition" stickers on the box with "Redmi Note 4" in english.

Thanks very much for the picture. Btw, what phone did you use to snap the picture?

Anyone can confirm that this model works on Webe network?
*
You're welcome. I used the not so impressive Redmi Note 2 camera to take it (phone is still good, RN4 is for wifey brows.gif )

Hi all, I bought a tempered glass for my RN4 (MY set) and it fits quite well. Here is the link

The tempered glass has colored bazel so you won't see the white edges because of the curved screen. Although I must say, the White version is not white enough and there's a bit of see through, but still bearable and barely noticeable.

hye. thanks for the info. how much u bought it? shipping cost.

and how long it takes to reach you.
*
QUOTE(szerone9 @ Mar 28 2017, 12:47 PM)
yes, wondering the same too..
so, for malaysia set i should purchase for RN4X right?
*
No problem. The shipping cost was free to Malaysia.

Aliexpress orders shipping to Malaysia can take anytime from 1 week plus to close to 1 month though (I suspect it depends on customs clearance). For me, I shipped to item to Singapore and it took 1 week plus to arrive.

For MY set, look for RN4X item listings. All the holes for LED, proximity sensor, earpiece, front cam are correctly placed.

Check Lelong and see if you can find these type of "full cover" tempered glass. Their items are in Malaysia and will ship much faster.

How abt the case? need to choose for 4x also?
*
Same basis with RN4X cases. For the benefit of everyone, this is the case that I bought and fits correctly:

Aliexpress RN4X case

Delivery lead time more or less 1-2 weeks if no delays in customs clearing.

if u observe the top hole cutout, is it the same placement (left-middle-right) holes?

just comparing between picture posted vs actual cover you gotten smile.gif

Malaysia unit is not even. headphone jack on left, ir sensor+mic together on the right.
*
I remember the top part is right fit at least for the aux jack, but didn't check the IR blaster and mic though. The bottom part I remember was a right fit (speaker grille & charging port). The phone+case is currently not with me at the moment. sweat.gif

Standard FX charges (most of the time 1-3% on item amount) apply. You will need to enable overseas transaction by calling Maybank beforehand.
