Was skeptical at first, but if the global rom came from miui forum, it should be fine, right? I mean, there are fake roms but im pretty sure the good ppl at miui forum went through a thorough check before uploading the roms. Other websites, i dare not to dload and flash it..

Xiaomi.EU is based on Dev ROM (China Dev ROM...?).

So, just take the EU as the "light" version of original Global Stable ROM...less bloatware and RAM-friendly...

Briefly, how tedious would it be to flash from global rom to this eu rom, and would my data n apps be wiped as well?

I'm still on global 8.0.3.0, haven't updated to 8.0.4.0 yet.. is it ok eg battery/ram usage improved?

Thinkin of which one to get for spare phone. Prefer sd for reliable performance, but it seems x20 is better overall comapre to 625, but redmi 4 prime also cheaper now though the note 4 after some discount is also very close in price. Argh.

I seem someone still choose Redmi Note 3(MY) version which price mostly same as Redmi Note 4(Import). Why?

That means just choose RN4 which new model and import also nevermind.
As i see above, ROM ok? not sure what rom means.
My use normally call and internet. No really heavy duty. So still choose RN4 or RN3.

I suggest you use tempered glass. I use the phone without casing and glass protector for 3 days.. already got fine hairline scratch on the screen. It's certainly not as good as other higher end phone glass. I'm using dark blue case on my grey set. It looks good.
