Hi. I am looking at these compact cameras now. 1. Sony Rx100 Mark 3 2. Canon G7X Mark 2 3. Sony HX90V 4. Sony Rx100 Mark 2
1. Which of these have Dslr quality photos? 2. Which takes the best photos? In details, sharpness and exposure? 3. Which is better in low light, landscape and macro? Thanks

why not look at Sony A5100/A6000 instead? Less than 2k can get. Can change lens when you grow in your photography. They have bigger sensors like DSLRs
The only plus point for your selection is that they are smaller but still not exactly pocket size.

I did consider these 2 but there are reviews that the Rx100 is better. Anyway I have a dslr but with kit lens. And felt too bulky to carry around...so I am looking for something compact and lazy to carry around so many gears

Its better in its own way but I feel.....too small to hold...LOL. I dont have big hands but somehow I dont like that its too small. A5100/A6000 is a better size. The PQ cant be any better than its bigger brother. Go play with it and decide, This post has been edited by idoblu: Aug 25 2016, 09:24 AM

The answer will be Sony RX100 M3. Plus, the RX100 has a Zeiss lens which delivers good photo quality and on top of that, there's a viewfinder.

My wife's new camera is canon g7x M2. I see the pictures are quite decent and night shots are ok too. For general usage, it is more than capable. And cheaper than Sony RX100 M4

The canon g7x mkii is a good camera and the whole camera interface also better than Sony. as for video part Sony is better but canon one Image stabilization is pretty awesome.
