QUOTE(David83 @ Aug 26 2016, 02:08 PM) I'm using CIMB BSA. No annual fee for ATM card. No trigger to change to the new ATM with Debit card function. Just go to bank and change when you are free. Card should be FOC. Don't wait until next year.

QUOTE(smallikanbilis @ Aug 26 2016, 11:47 AM) Why not just switch to CIMB Kwik Account? Got one-off card issuance fee of RM10.60 but there is no annual fee nor cash withdrawal charges. http://www.cimbbank.com.my/content/dam/cim...16-kwik-pds.pdfonly turn off is the Cash withdrawal at other banks' ATMs via CIRRUS and Plus ATM Network is RM10.60 per withdrawal

QUOTE(SoyD @ Aug 24 2016, 05:15 PM) Hi all, Just called the CIMB customer service to enquire whether it's necessary to switch my current conventional ATM card with no expiry date and no debit card function to the new pin and pay. Guess what? They said I have\ to switch my card to DEBIT CARD with the new PIN & PAY function and will be charging R M 15.90 annual fee for every subsequent year ! Even if I request to not activate the Debit card function! That's double the amount of what I'm paying now (RM 8.48)! And they even tell me if you don't switch your ATM card to the new card, then you won't be able to withdraw money from the ATM machine as "the system will be upgraded to only able to read the new card". It's like FORCING us to pay them DOUBLE of the annual fee FOR SURE if u want to use back the same account number, for example, those who uses it as a salary account. Whereas I know that for some banks like Maybank, the new card is FOC, and the annual fee remains the same 8.48 as we are paying now for unlimited ATM withdrawal. I'm sure that many might not aware of the new annual charges! Please be informed and tell your friends about this ! It's totally UNFAIR in my opinion! Maybe it's time to SWITCH! downgrade to bank book only account

QUOTE(DuO LoN @ Aug 26 2016, 10:22 AM) now that u mentioned it, why the fark am i being charged 21.20 for the stupid debit card from RHB? and whenever i ask whether got normal ATM card onot, the standard excuse being given is "we do not have anymore ATM cards". image RM10 per son x 1000. that is easily rm10k free money for the banks. time to complain to bank negara. RHB Bank requires all old debit card holders to change to the new RHB Bank VISA debit card or RHB Bank MasterCard debit card. The design is of course different from the cash connect debit card you are using now. The annual fee for the new debit card has been standardized to just RM8.48/pa.

Maybe it's time to SWITCH! you do know that you can switch bank, or decide not to have an atm card. you can solely online banking for everything now a days, most banks have that. technically IF everyone in malaysia boycott and decide not to take up atm, then the banks will have to drop their fees. even if 10-20% they would do it , imagine the uproar. sadly most people (not only malaysians) on general would complain but... will do nothing about it : (

QUOTE(DuO LoN @ Aug 27 2016, 07:43 AM) so i am being fraudulently shortchanged? because this cash connect shit was the debit card they wanted me to change to. im gonna make them change mine or ill lodge a complaint man. this is fraud, nothing less. Chill... they no longer have the cash connect shit. Yes, you can switch back to normal debit card. When I opened my acct, I insisted on the normal debit card, hence wasnt charged 21.20 for the cash connect card. It's not fraud la. It's unethical to make customers take the more expensive option. Most ppl just take it, nvr requested for the alternative.

Rhb has phased out their ATM card earlier...so no choice but accept a debit card..to be able to register for online banking....the normal one is rm8+....
I have 2 accounts....so I declined a card for the second...just use online banking to transfer money....
Only later I found out also no need to have a debit card for Internet access....can use cc....so now I pay rm8+ a year for a card I have not used, and will never use....lol

You get to keep your current cimb clicks. When you login, you will see your new account They are unlike maybank where you can convert it to the free one without closing. I closed mine and reopen again, this time choosing free BSA.

QUOTE(happying @ Nov 2 2017, 12:14 AM) annual charge for the debit card.. The bank officer told me that it depends on the account tied to the ATM-cum-debit card. Same thing told by MBB officer. I just changed all my pure ATM card to the ATM-cum-debit card for MBB & CIMB.
