QUOTE(TrialGone @ Nov 26 2019, 05:54 PM) Not entirely sure why u guys worry too much about lcd screen. It's not like smartphone where u use the screen for media consumption. Camera lcd at back just allows for easier framing. A bit of scratch or coating wear won't ruin ur composition. What u should be worry is the lens and broken mechanics like shutter and dials cause those things are easier to break than lcd. I like to keep the screen looking good and scratch free. But if you like to see your camera screen beat up, well its your choice.

SP add another reflection layer, makes viewing under bright sunlight even more challenging.

Yeah. I don’t really care bout the lcd screen.. because unlike the phone where the screen is like 90% of the whole device. Also I don’t use the touch function mostly because let’s be honest, Fuji touch screen sucks. I also use the evf like majority of the time so I never really care bout the screen. I don’t photo chimp too.
I guess the only reason to get it is to protect your investment and uphold the second hand value of the gear.

Just pointing out that the paint job on ur camera will wear out faster than ur screen. And usually screen protector just add another layer of discomfort due to reflection or lower res if u use matte. Again I'm just saying based on my exp. Nothing wrong with having a bit of insurance. This post has been edited by TrialGone: Nov 27 2019, 08:15 AM

Noobie question.
Im using an X-T3 for a video shoot. Will be putting in on a tripod and shoot a ballet perfomance. So it wont move around and will stay on tripod.
Which lens should i use?
Appreciate the help.

Not sure if anyone knows this already but Capture One Pro 12 is able to display "more pixels" than what the camera is "designed to capture". My X-A7 "can" capture 6000x4000 pixels at 3:2 ratio but Capture One Pro 12 shows like 6587x4198 or 6316x4119. I then came across an article mentioning the same thing and if you export the image, you do really get those "extra pixels". His theory is that the camera sensor actually captures more than what is advertised for perspective/distortion correction purposes and somehow Capture One Pro is able to access those extra pixels... This only happens when shooting at the wide end like 15-17mm which is logical because that's where you need the most correction for distortion.. http://lifeafterphotoshop.com/can-capture-...an-your-camera/
Or look below with a default crop by Capture One at 6000x4000 but notice the extra pixels in the darkened area which you can use:

I just started using Capture One Express .. free for Fujifilm cameras and more than enough for casual shooters like me. Loving the results so far.

Capture One do have a free version for Fuji users though it is more limited. I think you should be able to access that there, else there are some custom curve that are very similar to it.

Does the Express version give you access to the extra pixels? Need to click on the crop tool. The express version is indeed enough for most, you can even apply film simulations on it.
