QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 25 2016, 03:37 PM) Select manual focus on camera body.Select Aperture Priority mode Select lens aperture to f/4 (for example) Then everything from (approx) 1.8m to infinity will be in sharp (if my calculations are correct). So you just point and shoot only. |

QUOTE(bimmer @ Sep 25 2016, 04:53 PM) Select manual focus on camera body. OK, I will try this out tomorrow. Select Aperture Priority mode Select lens aperture to f/4 (for example) Then everything from (approx) 1.8m to infinity will be in sharp (if my calculations are correct). So you just point and shoot only. QUOTE(Like a Bause @ Sep 25 2016, 05:28 PM) I bought 3 years back, that time RM 400, now costs more than that due to currency fluctuation and GST. Now Sirui CF tripods should be RM 600 and above but still cheaper than Manfrotto. |

QUOTE(clivengu @ Sep 26 2016, 12:52 AM) Awesome!! congrats with your new c̶a̶r̶ camera!! I'll have to stick with my Honda Accord-previous generation Thanks!! Yeah, I was actually surprised seeing the price hike from X-T1's but IMHO it's agreeable with its crazy specifications.BTW, the AF on this beast is amazing! Look at the sharpness of this kid's eye! ![]() X-T2's AF nailed the focus, so sharp that it made my eyes bleed (figuratively of course). by Bart Baharudin, on Flickr *above pic was shot with 56mm, aperture priority wide open at f1.2, Classic Chrome, spot-metered, finally NR and sharpness tweaked to +4. Which AF mode did you use? Single point on the eye?

QUOTE(Lazyboy @ Sep 26 2016, 03:37 PM) Frankly speaking I'm unsure, LOL. This was at my friend's wedding. Changed back and forth between single-point AF and zone AF (smallest group of points), but I kinda think it's the zone AF because I did set the camera's face+eye detection to auto. |

QUOTE(gavingoh @ Sep 26 2016, 03:44 PM) I personally think classic chrome JPEG is (of course other are too) the best selling points for Fujifilm. Can't emphasize more on how I love Acros with red-filter and Classic Chrome film simulations. |

At 1.2 with Zone, that's good AF. |

I made a mistake using Classic Chrome in my landscape shots when I travelled to Yunnan.

Agreed that velvia/provia is better for landscapes compared to classic chrome, but it's always better+safer to shoot in RAW, OR you can use the film simulations bracketing to safe/remove post-production time |

RAW + JPEG + CLASSIC CHROME FTW!!! what filter you use when you shoot for food photography?
BTW regarding about tripod, can https://www.manfrotto.us/manfrotto-mkcompac...-way-head-black use on XT1 + XF1655? or maybe XT2 + XF1655? they're 1.5KG only. This post has been edited by HaN18: Sep 26 2016, 04:53 PM |
