Seen a few selling for around RM2.5k without warranty. Might as well get the new lense for <RM3k (F1.4 version) with a year warranty for the peace of mind!

Another alternative is to get the F2.0 version which cost <RM2k.     

I have been keeping camera and lenses inside my padded camera bag which just sitting on the floor inside my bedroom. And, I do on the aircon every night. 

Is it not okay to keep the gears in aircon room without a dry box?

Agreed. So I am getting a proper dry cabinet instead. Found some affordable ones priced between 400-500. Brands such as Aipo, Eureka & Digi-Cabi. I prefer the Aipo. 😊

Not sure how to handle the camera in those situation but I can giv tip for the battery instead. Bring extra battery with you, last time I went to Paris and the temperature was below 5 degrees and both of my battery (In camera & backup) where drain half of its power  . Luckily my x100t can charge through the usb, and I used powerbank to get the juice back. Keep the extra battery close to ur body (Inside jacket pocket) to keep it warm, I didn't do it last time cause I thought it was okay

Yes just called fotokem. Price for 23 1.4 went up from 2800 to 3200. Was getting ready to pick it up this weekend. Should have went earlier.

Sirui carbon fiber tripod. I have one and totally value for money. A good tripod will last you forever.

My sirui CF tripod broke where the CF rod connects to the legs area.

Replaced it with a manfrotto CF travel tripod used from e bay. Really awesome and sturdy. I also noticed that while there are many CF tripod, a lot depends on the other non CF parts as well to see how light and sturdy it is in the end
