Reviews? All I gather is that this is a recent brand sold in Malaysia, and it is part of Continental range of brands.

I'm using Viking CityTech, forgot if it's CT5. Previously using dunlop SP Touring. Noise level reduced significantly and quite quiet. Doesn't feel very stiff and ride is very smooth. Best tyre I've used so far.

Price-wise, which one is cheaper?

Viking is cheaper... I think I'll stick to this tyre next time when I'm changing. The other good tyre I've used is Continental but it's pricey.

how does it compare with hankook optimo, any idea?

Not many tyre shops carry this brand. usually for lower range tyres, they have Hankook and other Thai/China brands..

comfort - good
noise - low
tried on genting road x 3 rounds - normal speed <90 on genting patch , karak 120kmh

Which area? last year i changed my tire at Semenyih, I got it with good price.. So far the tire condition still good. Mybe not all outlets have this brand because not so demanding by the buyer and not very known. I never heard about it before, but after i know it's under conti so i choose to try.

What car you driving currently? If is luxury car then of course go for the premium brand tyre.... My father is using Dunlop for many years and no issue with it. So whenever I change my tyre, I will just follow his footstep taking the same brand.

It's really difficult to tell as it depend on your driving pattern and the usage.
You have to identify its for daily drive or casual? Long distance or short?
Those who like to drive hard and whack corner will wear out faster...

How come can burst? Did you hit something before that damaged the tire?

morning still ok. afternoon drive about 15min @90kmh it just burst. lucky no car on right side. 5 months using...

how is it now with Toyo NE3?

just cover 150km only.
the immediate feel is steering n whole car is lighter. may due to harder [thread wear 420 vs viking 240].
still prefer viking on griping

Today pasang Viking ct5 in my axia.
Try it for the 1st time.
RM127 per donut. Melaka. 😂

1st impression, great grip... Less noise...stable drive..

Yesterday hujan lebat at Melaka, 100 km/h still stable in AMJ.

why ct5? should go for pt5 treadwear 360 compared 240 of ct5

yes. somemore someone who was using ct5 burst i the middle of kesas highway. i using pt5 for 1 year 25000km already. so far satisfy with the performance of tyre. for your info, i drive fast. only certain part of karak highway make me scare. i am talking about 130-140km/j at karak highway bent section and turun hill.

its also = to less grip in some way
do look for tire that suit ur driving style

So now is viking ct6? Most shop i found this.
But i cannot find ct6 in viking website.

Want to buy viking pt6. Seller on lazada said dont have. Installed ct6. 195/60r15 from 195/55r15. Proton waja. RM148 a piece.

I'd say better than my old hankook and continental cc5 combo. Last 2 time hydroplane and almost hit siderail.

Drove 150kmph dry on straights. 90kmph on wet, great grip I'd say. Braking performance also good.

Bought 4 tyres from lazada, viking ct6 175/65 r14. It cost me rm106. 13 per tyre including balancing and rubber valve. .Got that price under Grab Driver Inclusive program.

Then install it at Silikon Auto Sdn Bhd, Seri Kembangan. Good service there. Alignment cost me another RM24. Just notice it, that tyres treadwear is 420. Previously using Landsail tyre with treadwear 500. Smooth riding and less noisy than before.

Fuel Consumption not sure yet on Bezza. Will updates later on. Thanks! ☺ ☺ ☺

Currently using this tyre (Viking CT5 175/70/R13 82T) for ~3 years/35,000 KM (Proton Saga FLX)

Noise wise, on smooth surface it's fairly quiet, only noisy on rough surface.

In terms of performance, I would say the handling is bad regardless of dry or wet surface..

Dry Surface: While doing 50km/h on a curve, not even a sharp cornering, the car feels as if it is going to be thrown off balance, tyres sounded like they are struggling to grip the road surface

Wet Surface: Went up to Genting on 20km/h while doing a sharp cornering, car literally skidded and almost hit another car on the side lane, it wasn't even raining just foggy and slightly wet surface

This tyre performance is worst than my previous stock tyres that came with my car..

Just changed viking ct6 175/65/14 priced Rm 102 from shopee last month.

Compared to the 2 years old silverstone ns800.

Road noise is lowered nearly half. The higher pitch road road iroar noise s gone.

Road grip increased a little. But the tires seems to made the car feel taller on cornering lean than the silverstone.

Much better water dispersing capability than the silverstone. When you drive on puddle at high speeds, the steering has lesser tendency to fight back. Also lesser noise when running over water. It has slightly wider water Channel than the silverstone.

What's not nice. Fuel economy dropped. Very likely the higher resistance from the softer rubber. Can feel steering resistance when parking even on cement floor.

The good thing is this tyre is the cheapest besides the slightly lower china or indo made tires. Else I would have bought silverstone of their prices did not go up to Rm120.
