Hi,

I was wondering how to play pokemon go in shopping mall like 1 utama when I can't get gps signal most of the time, I'm using an iphone 5, a Samsung Galaxy j1 also can't get gps signal too. Anyone have any idea/solution to this problem?

It could be your carrier's fault. Slow internet speed? My friend is using Maxis as his carrier and he rarely gets gps signal in 1U.

if it's clearly gps problem. try to turn on your wifi, this is due to your carrier being weak and thus, require some sort of wifi enforcement for your gps.

There's also wifi location. Phone uses visible wifi APs to determine location. See Skyhook.

Your phone do not have to be connected to these wifi hotspots to enable location triangulation. Your phone merely need to detect nearby wifi hotspots (open your wifi menu and see the lists). From there your phone will identify the signal strengths of each wifi hotspots and pass the info to your location server, thus allowing for alternative source of location from where you stand.

Oh didnt know that. Nice info rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

My phone got this 'scanning always available' option. Allow location services and other applications to scan network even if wifi is turned off. So if i turn off wifi will this still help with the gps accuracy inside malls?
