my affinBank FD was matured yesterday and the interest was 4.38% for 2 years.

It gets auto renewal with principal and interest was credited to my savings account. The rate given now is 3.75% and for another 2 years as well..

Tis is not competitive if compared to Maybank 12 mths GIA-i @ 4.10%
*
4.1% is promotion rate?

Better don't compare this both two and GIA has no PIDM.

Need to calculate the effective interest rate as both FDs must be opened with equal amount and minimum must be 20k for total two.

If A = 15k
B must be 15k

The tuesday promo is extended. It's online. 4.15% over 6 months. Nothing to do with counter.
*
Seldom see there is online FD placement for promotion. Hopefully other banks use this way too so there is no need to go over banks.
