3 days using the Note7 and must say experience has been excellent Snappy performance, excellent probably best camera and good battery life ( easily 6+ hours SOT). If I use more wifi connection 7+ hours The firmware update only makes the phone better The new Spen and features is simply Fantastically good. Those who uses it will appreciate it The side edges is less curve than S7e, S6e. Anyway all this time I had always love the features offered by the edge. If you don't like it just disable it
Some negatives - which is applicable to me only: - phone warm up slightly during my first day continuous installation of app. This wasn't so on the S7e. Daily usage operating temperature however is OK and I don't feel any significant warmness - Samsung had again as S7e over compact the phone dimensions. I much prefer Note5 size. Some users will love its new size but not me - reducing resolution is a NO-NO for me as the end result is simply poor. Samsung should offer 1080p downgrade too besides 720p - the new Settings layout is simply unattractive and quite slight troublesome to navigate through
My phone doesn't has SPen, sudden hang/freeze , reboot issues. Just hope it is so in coming days.
I will use this as my daily driver for at least next 2 to 3 weeks before reverting back to my other MiMax with its bigger display of 6.4 inches. The N7 will be my secondary phone than. I had use the app Package Disable Pro to freeze some unwanted stuffs - phone is now even smoother . No root is necessary. Restoring back is just a click away
I would rate overall satisfaction as 9.5 vs 9.0 on S7e

you mention about 720p resiolution downgrade. is it the display resolution or other aspect? for new update, there is option to change the screen resolution to 720p and 1080p.
Or is there 1080p? I will check it again Is chosen at battery savings option
"Samsung has included two different S Pen tips with the Note 7. They are both meant for different purposes and not a replacement piece that many people might be led to believe. The softer S Pen tip is to be used when you don’t have any screen protector installed on your Galaxy Note 7, while the harder tip is meant to be used when a screen protector installed on the display."
Yup, so many countries users.. Really bad for Samsung name.. Name damage
YES - it is indeed damaging to Samsung. The fact only certain users faced such problems most probably point to some poor quality hardware ( probably motherboard). If it is firmware issue , every one will be affected We hope Samsung will act responsibly to either replace those affected phones or change whatever hardware components in fastest possible time
Using the original Samsung SP. The protector is very smooth and writing with S-Pen also glides very smooth. Wonder how Samsung can make such a smooth protector. Here's hoping 3rd party can also mimic what Samsung has done.
+1 ; I do agree whole heartedly with you I am still using the original black tip instead of recommended white tips
Got a spare blue color spen from Singapore Regretted buying it as it won't work at all with the original Spen inside. I needed to pull the Spen slightly out first by about 0.5cm before it could work The Spen is a tight fit and even with vigorous shake it will not drop out Bought it thinking I need not pull out the spen each time I need to use it

I usually allow all my phones to charge overnight I believe most modern smartphones had built in chip to cut off any excess current Anyway this is never an issue for me as I used my phones on average 3-6 months only and then upgrade it to newer ones Those I don't like I will normally sell it off within 2 weeks
Five days and the phone is still superb. I would say is the best Android I had use this year No sudden freeze, hanging, reboot or exceptional heating up Those who had unfortunately got "defective" units please immediately go to service center and request a replacement. I suggest you straight hand in your phone instead of taking back and wait for the replacement. Samsung had obviously failed big this time with such defectives being produced. New users of Samsung will be turned off! I wonder which country our Note7 is manufactured? I used to see country of manufacture printed outside box on all my previous Samsung phones
A few days back I reported my ex Note5 Spen couldn't work on the Note7? I was wrong. One would need to pull out slightly the inserted SPen and the other Spen will work The Spen is a good tight fit and will not drop off with it slightly being pull out . I had tested it by vigorously shaking the phone
Wah 67°C even higher Okay now I know, I won't worry much
I had read an article about 2 years back all modern smartphones can easily sustained temperatures of 60 degree C without problems. It is only us as humans who find such high temperatures unbearable
