Just visited Sunway Pyramid SC after 10+ random restarts despite the 180mb update.

According to them there is no 1 to 1 change.

First they offer diagnostic run for 15 minutes, then they told me could be motherboard issue and needed to be changed and it will takes approx 2 hrs as they carry the note7 mobo and some kit here.
*there is mobo in Gardens but no kits according to them

Now im waiting in the SC and hopefully the mobo change will solve the restart issue. Phone data confirm to be lost and backup is advised.

Will update later once it is fixed.

u better check carefully after change motherboard..

perhaps they found the culprit of this issue..therefore now they provide repair service, instead of 1 to 1.

after take ur phone, please dun leave the mall so fast...play around 1 hr with the phone, if really ok then only go home.

check the IMEI before and after..

if change motherboard, IMEI sure changed also..

cant force a 1 to 1 change?? say that some forumers here have get the 1 to 1 exchange why cant u get it..

well, can demand so...but still depends on him wan it or not

some people think that changing new phone might take a longer time and may face other issue, i am one of them i need to change my lcd panel to fix the deadpixel.

I know right, after opened up sure completely different as compared to factory waterproof or sensitivity issue.

Yeah hopefully no more restart or other complimentary issue after this fix.

If SC started to reject those 1 to 1 replacement in these few days, that could mean that they might already found the culprit and they know which part to replace. If this is the case, bad news for the people who bought a faulty unit and wishing for a new replacement. But good news for the future buyers.

Can someone list out the defects of Note 7? Just want to make sure my unit is okay. I'm using just 1 week so far no major issue (touch wood)

should be no problem after this..

since SC confidently say motherboard issue

so they already found the actual problem..

1. Random hang/freeze
2. Random reboot
3. Autostart looping
4. Excessive heat eventhough no heavy use
5. S pen stucked inside the phone

my wife unit still ok... touchwood...
