QUOTE(leewh23 @ Aug 25 2016, 01:03 PM) Guys, I at Samsung service center now, problem still persists after they trying to reflash the phone, confirm hardware issue, and they promise one to one exchange for me, the bad news is need to wait around one week due to stock shortage. Who ever experience random reboot issue, better send to service center asap.. Yeah, hardware issues sure get 1 for 1 exchange Well some managed to get in 1 weeks time...

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Aug 26 2016, 12:34 PM) Unfortunately, nope. It's the real thing. I found out that judging a case simply based on personal assumption or other people's view is not good enough. So I went ahead and did my research on my own. Read the original source (if you can read mandarin or korean). Korean original source http://m.ppomppu.co.kr/new/bbs_view.php?id=phone&no=3225308Chinese source http://technews.tw/2016/08/25/samsung-note...orea-explosion/Apparently, the phone was in Korea, bought by a Korean. Confirmed is Note 7. According to the victim, the phone was exploded during charging, using the Samsung original cable and charger. The phone already sent to Korea SC. Initial analysis was the root cause is the battery malfunction. Still not yet confirmed whethere its factory malfunction or human error. Anyway, this would be the first explosion case for Note 7. The news was spreaded through most of the local newspapers in Korea. I repeat, the exploded phone indeed is Note 7 (Korean version). And yes. Korean version Samsung phones do not have Samsung logo on it. OMG. It real deal huh and its exploded in Korea, the home country of Samsung sengkin95 boss can this put on 1st page..

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Aug 26 2016, 12:48 PM) Ya. I was shocked when i read the news. However, there's s suspicious point in the case. Based on those pics, the user was using microUSB to USB Type-C cable to charge his phone. Now that's interesting. I am not an expert. But may be this is the starting point where all things go wrong. Anyway, the phone sure was exploded. And we still don't know what's the real cause. But for sure, from now on, I won't dare to try to use microUSB to USB Type-C cable to charge my phone. Better be safe rather than sorry. I think it's the battery issue

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Aug 26 2016, 01:12 PM) Most likely yes. But human instint is like this. You must do all the precaution in order to rule out all the possibilities. As cantonese always say: 有殺錯冇放過! lolz

QUOTE(GrandElf @ Aug 26 2016, 02:19 PM) Yes...just happen....after I try the S-Pen capture GIF function......then the phone starting to go into restart loop mode.... You can turn ON once in a while for a few min after it restart itself for about 5 to 6 times approximately.......So, I did a quick factory reset while the phone still responding but no use at all......now I can't even finish my 1st startup screen initial menu setting, the phone already hang and restart..... Couldn't use at all.....call the centre ask me send for repair......need to argue if want 1 to 1 exchange.....boring parts... zzzzz I started to use my phone on Sunday 21st because need to go maxis center to change my SIM to nano...... Better argued for 1 for 1 exchange.. It's your right.. Do give up..
