i'll give it a try..thanks

It took me a while to understand the difference between recovery mode, download mode, fastboot mode and edl mode.

Nobody bothers to make a simple differentiation between these major flashing techniques

officially unlocked? well you have to flash twrp recovery manually.. unlocking doesn't give you recovery automatically..
*
I tried to flash twrp using fastboot but can't seem to replace the original recovery and it will always boot to the phone and cable screen.

Need to fastboot boot the twrp image manually, allow change, then flash the twrp image then apply the universal boot patcher.
Goddam hard to do compared to any my previous phone. Waste 3 hours of my life becos there's no detailed guide.

i took it like less than 10mins...to flash twrp..all already linked on 2nd post for now.

all the guides available at miui and xda forums for quite sometime already.
*
After unlock then boot to fastboot then flash the twrp through fastboot command right?

But I can't seem to boot to twrp no matter what image I tried. Always will boot recovery to the phone and cable picture.

did u flashed the correct way?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
or follow the twrp guide in miui forum, with the script?
*
Yes I did.
It flashed correctly, returned success status.

Even copied the command and paste in command prompt. Tried multiple recovery image safe, coffice, alka, standard twrp, flash successive times.
Nothing stick and it'll always boot recovery back to the phone and cable image.

Looking for this phone as well. Does it come with global rom?
*
Rom can easily be changed. It's a non issue.
Furthermore, unlocked, rooted and twrp flashed rom is 1000% times better than the stock rom.

The miui backup deleted all my user data and forced me to this entire flash journey. Jilake backup

Anyone have problem with their earphone? I connect apple earpod to my redmi note 3 but the sound still come from the phone and not the earpod. Is it my phone problem or apple earpod is not compatible?

As u can see from the picture above, there is notification when I plugged in my earpod but I can't choose the type of earpod
*
Go plug normal earphone.
I have no problem on my stock lenovo and Samsung earphone. I run fm radio all the time.

anybody on cm13 marshmallow, is the tap to wake the screen function well..?
*
i was briefly on the resurrection remix for a few days. the 20-08-2016 release.

no bugs, very fast, everything works, saves battery.
but i like miui better even with the battery drain here and there.

didn't find the option to enable tap to wake screen in RR.
since it's based on cm13 well maybe it's not implemented.

official is nowhere as good as the debloated miui.eu versions, cm13, resolution remix and aosp.

Just wiped cache and dalvik.
Hopefully it'll solve this annoyance. Otherwise I'll revert back to miui7

QUOTE(GameSky @ Sep 10 2016, 09:11 PM)
miui eu rom? which build? did u flash clean or dirty?

Clean install wiped cache and factory reset before and after flash.

You currently on what build? If it still happen I'm gonna flash some other miui. Can rekemen some stable build?

Why do you hate cm13 interface? Isn't that close to stock Android?
*
Dunno man.
I kinda hate the interface. Little bit of irk here and there.

Cm13 very good batt life but I really prefer miui icon and display and etc.
Tried it twice before and I always come back to miui.

You are one weird dude...LOL... if CM13 not stable, I understand laaa... UI not to your liking...too bad... CM13's dev has their own tastes on the UI design...don't worry, you can always back-and-forth to many other ROMs to your heart's content..
