I just received my redmi note 3 from lazada yesterday. being a big fan of xiaomi mi3, I am glad that the phone is easily tweakable, can install custom crap like root/xposed framework easily.

The only problem now is "bootloader is locked" and "need to wait 10 days" and "might stuck in 50%, need to flash china rom". WTF wei... highly disappointed.

On my first day of long wait for the sms........

woo thanks bro. but I'm actually quite damn noob when it comes to this, a few ques:

1. do i have to find the fastboot rom that is same as my device miui version?

2. "DONT FLASH MIUI RECOVERY ZIP ROM VIA TWRP after unlocking bootloader. IT HAS STOCK BOOTLOADER IT WILL RELOCK BOOTLOADER AND THEN BOOTLOOP" - does this apply to OTA update as well? or can I update OTA without causing a bootloop?

Thanks guys! I successfully unlocked the bootloader. I didn't see your response first so I used another version of twrp, stucked into bootloop. Luckly saw your post and used cofface.

I now flashed cofface twrp on the phone.
