Backup is ur friend. Never ever try to flash without backups...

i would choose full rom..in case next time got issues after update ota.. can just wipe and reflash full rom

Me too choose full ROM. OTA has a risk of soft brick if your internet connection is not reliable.

I've update to MIUI 8 by downloading full ROM and use Updater app.

Few things I've notice:
-better ram management. Free ram never gets below 1 gb even after many apps opened. This wasn't the case with MIUI 7 because occasionally my free ram always in the range of 600 - 800mb.
-Instagram no longer hang when scrolling a lot of pictures.
-i love the new notification shade by combining toggle and notification. I hate the separate toggle and notification in MIUI 7.

Btw, anyone tried the scrolling screenshot? I can't get it to work. Pressing volume down and power button simultaneously doesn't do the trick. It gets reboot instead.

Use the notification shade to get screenshot. You will see floating screenshot on the top-right screen. Tap it and there'll be menu "scroll"...

However, not all app/screenview works for the scroll screenshot...

Yup, tried with Chrome to scroll Kopitiam doesn't work.

Still thinking if wait for OTA or download full ROM or OTA. I don't wanna wipe fully my device. Wipe cache will work? I got stable internet so download OTA ?

I just downloaded the full ROM and then updated manually as I can't wait haha. MIUI 8 looks good.

for miui 8..they remove the schedule everyday i want the phone on wat time i set for airplane at what time disable airplane..

Last night I checked it give me notice to update to MIUI 8 nightly version but now I check again there's no update available.

Settings > Battery & Performance > Power > cog-wheel icon > Schedule Power On/Off

Thats schedule power ON/OFF.
what he mean should be the profile, which we can create own profile for setting.
I've been using that too, seems like MIUI 8.0 has removed that.

It is very useful for me if they don't remove it

You guys need to settle with either:
1) Do not disturb mode, or
2) install 3rd party apps, or
3) downgrade back to MIUI 7...
