QUOTE(cloudwan @ Sep 14 2016, 12:08 PM) Bought my first case & tempered glass from here: I didn't see smartdevil tempered glass you mentioned for RN3. Is it the RM10 one?https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry77283953 Good price and responsive seller.. I like the smartdevil tempered glass coz it comes with the tool to properly fit ur tempered glass on your own |

In order to root the phone, bootloader needs to be unlocked. In order to unlock the bootloader, needs get approval from MI first and it takes 3-10 days.
Is there any faster way to do the unlock and rooting? P/S: or anyone is willing to help, I am willing to pay for some $. This post has been edited by jack2: Sep 16 2016, 06:39 PM |

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Sep 16 2016, 07:01 PM) You could unlock unofficially but you have a chance of bricking it. Rotting with a unofficially unlocked bootloader is not recommended. In short, to be on safe side, always proceed the official unlock method. Afraid that I do not have sufficient time to wait the approval.Even change to CM13 also recommended using official way? I just need to have rooted android. |

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Sep 16 2016, 07:11 PM) http://en.miui.com/unlock/ How to check if the approval is granted?Try to check here by clicking unlock now. Sometimes they might not send approval sms at all. You better off use the official method if you can't bear the risk of bricking phone. So far I'd never heard of flashing CM13 with unofficial unlock bootloader but if you willing to be the white rat, you could do so. Is it other brand of phone like Oppo is more easy to root? White rat - consequence: the phone gone or just need to reinstall? This post has been edited by jack2: Sep 16 2016, 07:28 PM |

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Sep 16 2016, 08:03 PM) I've been using the unofficial method for quite a while since the bootloader got relocked last time I tried to go back to miui rom. Since i didn't wanna wait again for another month for unlock request, i just used unofficial method instead. And be sure to use specific twrp based on your bootloader condition to avoid another relocked BL like mine http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note...-twrps-t3406708 http://en.miui.com/thread-253680-1-1.html QUOTE(zher4883 @ Sep 16 2016, 08:10 PM) If you can download the tool after login, you have the approval. Many thanks. For the second question, I'm not sure about that Worse case scenario, you have to use test point method to revive your phone. I am reading... |

QUOTE(kuroneko0509 @ Sep 17 2016, 12:42 PM) anyone here using stock cm13? just wondering if notification sound still come via speaker+headset when headset is used? Hahahai guess that user wants to use apps that use safetynet like android pay & pokemon go since those don't work when su is mounted in the system I just afraid can't perform future update to latest MIUI.. |

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Sep 18 2016, 08:47 AM) OMG.Is there anyway to prevent the updater to be checked even on manual checking? Like in windows, you can set in host to prevent the software to check through certain port says 127.0.0.0 update.xxxx.com |
