https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry77283953

I didn't see smartdevil tempered glass you mentioned for RN3. Is it the RM10 one?

In order to root the phone, bootloader needs to be unlocked. In order to unlock the bootloader, needs get approval from MI first and it takes 3-10 days.

Is there any faster way to do the unlock and rooting?

P/S: or anyone is willing to help, I am willing to pay for some $.

You could unlock unofficially but you have a chance of bricking it. Rotting with a unofficially unlocked bootloader is not recommended. In short, to be on safe side, always proceed the official unlock method.

Afraid that I do not have sufficient time to wait the approval.

Even change to CM13 also recommended using official way? I just need to have rooted android.

Try to check here by clicking unlock now. Sometimes they might not send approval sms at all. You better off use the official method if you can't bear the risk of bricking phone. So far I'd never heard of flashing CM13 with unofficial unlock bootloader but if you willing to be the white rat, you could do so.  biggrin.gif

How to check if the approval is granted?

Is it other brand of phone like Oppo is more easy to root?

White rat - consequence: the phone gone or just need to reinstall?

I've been using the unofficial method for quite a while since the bootloader got relocked last time I tried to go back to miui rom.
Since i didn't wanna wait again for another month for unlock request, i just used unofficial method instead.
And be sure to use specific twrp based on your bootloader condition to avoid another relocked BL like mine

If you can download the tool after login, you have the approval.

For the second question, I'm not sure about that

Worse case scenario, you have to use test point method to revive your phone.

Many thanks.

*
Yes, that is why supersu icon is there and I use root checker checked and root access is properly installed.

Test point method to unbrick it

Updating via updater is not recommended.

Unless you want to unlock officially, you don't really need to lock it back.
*
Omg... If so, anyway to get updated latest miui?

i guess that user wants to use apps that use safetynet like android pay & pokemon go since those don't work when su is mounted in the system
*
Hahaha

I just afraid can't perform future update to latest MIUI..

supposed you still..but have to re root later.
*
Such update won't brick the phone since bootloader is unofficially unlocked.

Second question is, how to prevent no update is notified or prompted to update via updater?

will brick if u forgot to replace the mbn files.
*
If it is via updater, how to replace since it downloads and install right away.

In order not to lose the rooting ability or get bricked if forgot, how to prevent or stop to get update notification so it remains show no update?

It will restart again, so you are wasting your effort to do so.
*
OMG.

Is there anyway to prevent the updater to be checked even on manual checking?

Like in windows, you can set in host to prevent the software to check through certain port says 127.0.0.0 update.xxxx.com
