Hi forumers,

I just bought a Motorola V3x from one of the forumers. The phone is new and under warranty. The problem is, the phone alwiz get rebooted,the screen turn white, while making the call or closing the lid too hard, or while switching to camera mode..

is it because of harware error or software?..i know it still under warranty, but i can't let my h/p in the factory for warranty claim for 2 weeks to solve the problem.anyone knows the issue with motorola v3x? anyone have any idea?..hate to see this phone keep rebooted.

noticed that when u edit or create a new contact there is a birthdate where u can enter to ur contact's information?
may i ask wat does it do?
apparently when i entered my fren's birthday there, i reckon that it will alert/remind me when it is my fren's birthday
but nothing happened!!!
so, is there any way to enable it to a reminder?

u got ur point...i dun like the sms part also..really really slow..nokia is the best phone for smsing.. but u said that it cant gprs and 3G..thats kinda weird. I tot its a 3G phone?? suppose no problem to use 3G service 1,rite??

i faced this problem, but i go maxis center change SIM card den problem solved. u could try use ur fren SIM card at ur hp to try da GPRS work or not.

tat day my problem was da icon beside singal power on top left, there is a symbol where type of data transfer. tat icon was missing n cant gprs and i only get 2g n 3g. cant get 2.5g. after change sim card prob solved.

i guess u facing the same prob as mine last time. i oso tot was hp prob but when i try to use my frens sim card, it was able to gprs. den i knew was sim card prob.

i called 123 to complaint to maxis, then they will ask u check some basic settings(they oso confirm my card no prob). den i keep on calling them until finally they gave up and ask me to go maxis center to change sim card.

then i went there i told i call 123 n they ask me come here to change SIM card den they straight away change to for me no question ask. initially wanted to charge me but i said my card was new and i only use it for 2 weeks, den they foc.

my sim card was hotlink then was no problem, later i change to maxis postpaid 3g sim card when i get my v3x, i use for 2 weeks then this problem occured. after i complaint they replaced a new maxis 3g sim card for me.

since they replaced, no problem till now. but sometimes when going to places that the signal is unstable where it changes from 2.5g to 2g the symbol will missing again. but later on it will appeared again within few minutes. kinda worried when it dissapear......

other den tat and keypad layer peeling, my v3x rocks!!!!!

Razr V3X and V3X.... both are the same rite...
1)  can add on other theme?
2) how big the memory card can support?

my w800i no more warranty and do u think i need to pay abit more $$ for V3X (second hand with few months warranty)??

im asking behalf of my gf....she just bought v3x last tuesday...is less than a week only...she told me that her hp got a prob....and that is true...coz i try it ady...when she activate her bluetooth...any hp can detect her hp even comp....but when we on our bluetooth, she can detect our hp...always also written no device found...may i know wut is the prob?izzit the hp spoil? and the bad part is she bought a AP set...not ori set...hehe....she noob in buying hp....hope u all can help me...

the theme doesnt do much...it's the skin that change the appearance of the GUI

u don't need to "flash" ur phone to add skins...just get a skin mgr, skins that u like n off you go....if ur the adventurous type...u can do ur own skin, drm icons,fonts etc...

it seems quite a few of u here having lots of prob with the phone...i guess it depends on ur luck...hv been using the phone for quite a while...no problem at all...in fact i hv modding the phone to max and still no prob....

some of the prob are due to the firmware...if u r using original mdm..u can go to motorola m'sia website and download the firmware update software...AP..u can update it urself if u confident enuff..it's not hard as u think actually........

i got install the motorola phone tool....once i connect it to my pc...the phone tool will open...then the themes alot of file wan wor?how do i install inside?

hey bro...was off the grid for a while...anyway a split skin is a skin without any main menu icon...meaning icons are all linked to one mma.

the prob you had probably due to incompatible skins or missing mma...
