what is different between wisp and ap mode?

AP=broadcast wifi from router
wisp? can someone explain how to use this mode? in what place have this mode?

WISP= Wireless Internet Service Provider.

TP-Link outdoor CPE has this mode.

just wanna know what different? can this mode collect hotspot signal and broadcast back? but still need to login per account..

i mean like wifi kampung 1malaysia..can i capture the signal using wisp mode? because i need signal only...and want all device that want use the wifi need to login for each device...or just using AP mode?

AP bridge mode won't work if the hotspot identify the user by MAC as every clients will be seen as the same MAC address. To preserve original MAC, you need either WDS bridge which is sometimes also referred as WISP bridge or AP bridge with WDS,

yes hotspot always detect by mac address..so need use mode WISP bridge wireless? just want capture signal and broadcast back in my house. i try my device can get -40+..so was ok for me..

if i wisp hotspot signal..if they limit by 1mb per login. every person will login with different id and device?

Eh.... What do you mean YES hotspot? Do you mean that public WiFi which can be found in shopping mall? I am not sure whether does this method work. If you meant those YES 4G Broadband/LTE one then it is not possible.

i thought there is TM wifi for public. is it working?

Of course there is but I am not sure does this method works by repeating the TM WiFi's signal. Just guess it MAY work.

actually not for TM wifi...i want repeate signal for wifi1malaysia..they using ruckus ap and line from maxis...just want repeat the signal only..

now im using wifi adapter put at balcony and tethering using laptop..wasting electricity...so i want make repeater capture signal and using my ap to burst signal...coz repeater need put outside balcony...ap put inside home
