fyi for those of you who are using smart switch to transfer your old phone's "consciousness" to your note 7, take note that it doesnt restore the actual data/settings. after restoring from smart switch, for those apps that dont sync through cloud (i.e: google), i used adb to backup form old phone and restore in new phone.

syntax:

- adb backup -f filename.apk -noshared -apk packagenamehere

to get packagename here, google for your android app in the play store and copy the "id" part. example:

adb backup -f seriesguide.ab -noshared -apk com.battlelancer.seriesguide

then to restore:

adb restore seriesguide.ab
