the trial is for the original wow. for expansion, you have to buy the game. check out the forums as lots of post bout where to get the game is available.

best is you try the 10 days trial(along with developing you character) before resume upgrade to real account.See if you like the game or not in 10day,then only you talk about having the expansion or not.
