Hi, im heavy a bit of trouble with this, i cant seem to find it anywhere so pls forgive me if this came out before or it is a stupid question.

If i have a LCD monitor with Composite AND vga (xbox connecting to composite, pc connecting to vga), how about the sound? can they share the same speaker?

the logitech game console adapter seem to be for 5.1 and above, so if i have a 5.1 speaker, it splits to two 3.5mm input, one goes for xbox, one for pc?

sorry im very confused about this rclxub.gif

if anyone can help me out here, that would be great thumbup.gif

Now i hafta decide soon if my LCD needs a composite or not, or should i buy two cheaper lcds, one for my pc and one for my xbox shocking.gif gonna cost a fortune

Well you could plug your XBox360 audio into your PC, and then your PC into your speakers.

not all. i remmeber acer's lcd dont have a dedicated button to it.
i believe samsung and benq(definite,im currently using one) have such function

so recap
1)i need a dual input monitor (composite not necessary)
2)i need a sound card (im currently using integrated one. LOL) -Is that why my volume control dont show a line out volume control?
3)i need a vga cable for xbox 360
4)i need a rca to 3.5mm audi jack converter for the vga cable to my line out
5)i need to on my comp when i play my xbox to share the speakers

did i miss anything?

all the side costs of xbox360 which i didn't see coming. tongue.gif

well i'm not sure if this helps, but just to share.

i have a lcd tv with vga and component, so i decided to use PC with VGA and x360 with component.

for the audio, i just found out that my speakers (normal 3-piece; satelites and a subwoofer) have 2 inputs, so for the PC i just connected it like normal (from sound card to speaker). For the x360 however, i bought a stereo to RCA cable and since this cable was both males i just bought an extra RCA extender (which has both female sides).

so basically, i put the stereo end to the PC speakers, the RCA end into the RCA extender and connect the x360's audio RCA heads into the extender. works like a charm! all i need is to change source input on my lcd tv to view between pc and x360.

20" widescreen over 17" normal is a BIG difference, I'd strongly recommend you go for it (if budget allows la). Also, you definitely want to avoid using composite because you won't get any of the HD modes that way ...
