QUOTE(mztang52 @ Oct 14 2016, 09:42 PM) -.- Dude...I was working as promoter aka salesman. EDIT: To be exact, sign up customer, collect modem from TM, go to customer premise, setting up router, account creation and configuration. This post has been edited by JohnLai: Oct 14 2016, 09:50 PM |

QUOTE(mawardi @ Oct 14 2016, 11:22 PM) My PC is getting along just fine with IPv6 but unfortunately all my Androids have some delay when loading a website. So frustrating to have to disable IPv6 just because Google cannot implement it correctly on Android. Hmm? How old is your android OS anyway?There is a weird bug about IPv6 RA processing in dhcpcd that causes wifi wakelock. (Basically, it wakes wifi chip and operate at full power for few seconds. Now this "few seconds" practically repeats around every 3-5seconds.) The more one knows......... EDIT: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=79576 #11 Jame...@landiego.com Just an update, I set my DHCPv6 server to also allow stateless configuration which fixed the issue. Pure DHCPv6 causes the lag I propose you to read all of those comments..... This post has been edited by JohnLai: Oct 14 2016, 11:39 PM |

Sigh....exactly 1:00AM....youtube turbo full 400kb/s......
That damned IPV6 youtube CDN...... 50kb/s youtube buffering non-stop..........1:00AM ---> 400kb/s EDIT: The problematic CDN kul01s05 : router: "pr02.kul01" next_hop_address: "127.0.0.1" (2001:e68:4000::/36) This post has been edited by JohnLai: Oct 15 2016, 01:08 AM |

QUOTE(dannielshazmeer @ Oct 15 2016, 10:05 AM) Except IPv6 performance on Malaysia youtube streaming.What can I say....right after 11AM.....50kb/s For the EDIT2: That it First, visit https://redirector.googlevideo.com/report_mapping to find out your assigned CDN. Then visit youtube website, scroll down to bottom and click 'Send Feedback' Make a feedback on Malaysia youtube CDN server with explicit mention of IPv6 slowdown to 50KB/s during 11AM to 1AM. EDIT3: Make sure write that you are TM Streamyx subscribers. The more people complain about this to youtube.......the better. Do realize this 'throttling' session has been happening since 2013. Unifi users seem to have 'better' CDN allocated to them.We have more users who have absolutely no problems with using IPv6. Look at my poll results. So, based on https://redirector.googlevideo.com/report_mapping , what are CDNs allocated to both of you? |

kul01s05 : router: "pr02.kul01" next_hop_address: "127.0.0.1" (2001:e68:4000::/36)
raynman calvinlaw510 See...both of you unifi users got kul06, streamyx users only get kul01. Not to mention prefix 42......streamyx youtube CDN only has 36 prefix. Weird part is why streamyx youtube cdn got extra hop to loopback 127.0.0.1 |

QUOTE(mztang52 @ Oct 15 2016, 06:36 PM) I think it is router's problem. I am a UniFi, Streamyx, Maxis Fiber & TIME Fiber user. UniFi and Streamyx has problem with their IPV6 but after changing the router, my UniFi and Streamyx has no problem with IPV6. Time Fiber has no problem with their IPV6 but sadly, Maxis Fiber doesnt support IPV6 yet. If you want to use IPV6 on Maxis Fiber, you have to use tunnel broker. I doubt it is router/modem issue. It is time specific throttling.I got Dlink, TPlink, Asus and Aztech (2012 - 2015) With Dlink free dynamic DNS bundle (CCTV usage) Although I prefer not to use tunnel broker stuff due to some privacy concern. Not to mention it added some latency..... |

QUOTE(mztang52 @ Oct 16 2016, 12:53 AM) Ya. Tunnel Broker does add some latency, that's why I don't really like it. You can use the dlinkddns.com account on other router. I created a dlinkddns account for my DVR with P1. Not willing to pay dyndns. Haha Bundled free dlinkddns is linked to DLINK MAC addresses now, can't use it on other router.......technically I can.....telnet/ssh into the router and use 'macchanger -m XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX interface' , it works.....and editing/adding the profile of available dynamic dns list......QUOTE(mztang52 @ Oct 16 2016, 12:57 AM) The older version of TM lousy router doesn't clamp TCPMSS to PMTU.Quoting wikipedia: IPv6 routers do not support fragmentation or the Don't Fragment option. For IPv6, Path MTU Discovery works by initially assuming the path MTU is the same as the MTU on the link layer interface where the traffic originates. Then, similar to IPv4, any device along the path whose MTU is smaller than the packet will drop the packet and send back an ICMPv6 Packet Too Big (Type 2) message containing its MTU, allowing the source host to reduce its Path MTU appropriately. The process is repeated until the MTU is small enough to traverse the entire path without fragmentation. |
