Drove the car for 30KM to work this morning, ranging 30% city 70% highway. My first impression for the car is, once you enter no noise were heard, I don't know why but you know the feeling when you climb up hill and suddenly your ear clogged up (you need to telan air to unclogged to hear back). The noise is visible when you drive 100KM/h+, engine noise were minimal but the road noise is somewhat not kuat maybe moderately (I think need to reduce the tyre pressure). Langgar any bumper or road that is uneven were somewhat ease and comfort (this morning I thought hearing rattling noise from the dashboard, I thought fucksake proton not this issues again anddd it turn out to be USB stick left inside the car. ) remove the USB stick, try driving again on uneven road no rattling sound.

So for the manual transmission (Be noted that I'm coming from proton saga BLM, which basically my only manual car, I can only benchmark using my saga) I don’t like the throttle response in Persona. My saga basically once you pedal the accelerator, the power instantaneous deliver while in persona there is lag, it feels like I’m driving the CVT transmission, 0.1/2sec compared to 0.5sec in CVT. Can anyone confirm if Persona using Electronic accelerator pedal or using the cable one? If using EAP its answered the lag response. So for the transmission, even better from saga. As for anyone concern that the gear stick is far from the driver seat, Proton already highten the gear level and shorten up the distance travel between each gear, so for those of you who have the old stick, you need to familiarize the new distance, afraid from second gear goes to fifth already happened to me this morning.

Anyone curious about the RPM for 110KM/h is around 2.5/2.6k. For eco mode, basically it will turn on if you drive below the “Overconsume” rpm, example eco mode can be turn on as low as second gear rpm intake is around 2~2.3. Once you pedal hard, eco mode gone la, basically wanna racing can’t be fuel efficient. Once I already done my 1K service, I’ll try the top speed. My saga can reach 175KM/h before flying la but average 140/150. As for the fuel consumption, its shows around 7.2l/100KM. Need to break in more KM before getting the exact figure I guess. Getting 5.6l/100KM seems hard XD

The one thing that I can’t move on I the throttle response, biggest let down right now. I don’t like the lag at all . Short review for morning drive.

I read in the club section the RPM for CVT transmission is around 2.8K for 110KM/h, kinda high though.

During day time, especially if your car not tinted. The lighting notification aren't that visible, but Persona have auto child lock I guess, reach certain speed, the car will lock. The only way to unlocked the is by having the driver open his door lever/press the switch.

Not sure for Persona but other models, have been revised to 100k KM as some cases reported belt snap before 120k

free maintenance is for 3 years or 60k km only......i think rm700 is quite reasonable already coz they will also change the serpentine belt

yes they can..they just need to pull the lever twice.. first pull unlocks the door 2nd want to open.. very much like certain conti car... those who have kids is advisable to enable child lock

I placed my booking for Premium Red colour at 9 September. Loan Approved at 21 September. So the SA phone me to go and sign aggrement at 21 afternoon and say that my car has arrive so i can pay the deposit and get the car in few days. When i reach the show room, he confirm with me that i am buying a standard spec red colour, i was like what the fxxx? Inside the document write premium but they write standard on the cover and make mistake by booking the wrong car. The car that arrived is a standard red colour. And then they tell me i need to wait until end of october only can get my car... So total i was like need to wait for 2 months to get the car...

I think you can lodge a complaint on their careline...they should be able to assist. Call 1800 888 398. All the best

Hmmm..I'm a day away from placing my booking to take advantage of the promotion .  Waited this long coz wanna take a peek at new Saga after it launched.

Those with Premium variant.. how's the HU unit? I heard got lagging /touchscreen insensitivity  . How chronic is this problem?

My parent books on end of Aug, until now also no car no news. T_T
