I just changed my Myvi lagi best 1.5 front speakers (4 inch) to a set of jbl gt5-402 co-axial speakers and added an underseat sub. So the guy who installed told me to not blast the speakers for a few weeks so that it can break in nicely, and I followed. But now when i play certain songs, the speakers tend to pop or make some weird crackling noises!!! I mean wtf man... its brand new and i didnt even blast it like i did with the ori speakers... Anyone have any damn idea what went wrong? Is it because of the speakers? the wiring? or the HU problem? (Im still using original HU btw).... Haiz so damn disappointed

maybe counterfeit? wiring problem could be, but chances are very low. My friend bought a pioneer brand new also same prob, turns out its fake.

Tell you what, my Alpine back 9" speakers already 10 years +, recently installed back still working great despite me blasting loud with high bass.

Those cheap speakers tend to make crackling noise in certain noise with high /deep base etc. My Proton OEM speakers even brand new also liddat.

Don't think it might be counterfeit, wiring problem also highly unlikely cuz i personally see the installer do it and it is all snugly fit and taped. And what you say is true, only few songs where the music has been boosted will show this problem... So i took those problematic songs and toned down the volume boost and the crackling sounds went away (however the bass also went with it as well and now it is not so boomy as before).

But what can i say, i mean those 4 inch speakers ain't exactly top of the line speakers that cost few Ks'

Really ah... I go try on my car see whether these songs got those crackling sounds or not...
Installer did tell me those speakers are normal, not high end so i dont expect much, maybe clarity of music only sad.gif
