I'm currently downloading the free trial -10 days

After that time when i want to activate my account , do i need to buy the original world of warcraft and TBC ?

because i'm currently downloading 3.5GB of the game

the download is only for the original wow. u have to buy tbc if u want to play the expansion. after trial period u can either buy a cdkey from blizzard and upgrade online or buy a copy of the game and upgrade your account online too.

You don't really need to buy the TBC expansion if you're leveling one of the original races (Alliance: Human, Night Elf, Dwarf and Gnome; Horde: Orc, Tauren, Troll and Undead) until level 60.

You can buy TBC if you're leveling from 60 to 70 and/or plan to start using a new race (Draenei for Alliance and Blood Elf for Horde).

wow i've never play WoW b4 . i'm planning to start middle of march

so what you're saying that i still need to buy the original for the cd-key ? .i don't have a credit card so i cant buy online

i'll play the original characters for 10 days and then buy the original and TBC middle of march start new character

this 10 days are just to try out to see if got lag or not

original +2month play +TBC is like 209+169 right?

the original isn't that expensive you can get it for about RM80 nowadays. As for the expansion, the price differs depending on where you get it from.

how bout i get it from one utama (damansara) , ummmm infront of the pets wonderland got a shop sells many original wow and i saw they sell zboard thingy there too

i'll get my allowance by then and gonna waste them on WoW! i hope i stick to it i never sticked on 1 game for so long

There a few ways to get started..

1) get the original WoW which goes for like RM80 if u look hard enough. You will need a reload card to create an acc (not sure if u could upgrade from 10 day free trial but its possible i think)

2) DL the WoW from internet, use 10 day free trial and then buy a cd-key from somewhere which is cheaper than buying the entire game set.

3) If u got some friends who plays WoW, they might still have some free trial cdkeys with them, u can borrow their game cds to install then use tht cdkey to make an account. If u wish to upgrade to a full account then all u need to do is reload ur account after that. ( The drawback is u need a CC to make an acount with the free trial cdkey. U cant make 1 with a reload card)

4) Forget abt TBC for now since u are just starting out. The TBC features only the 2 new races and the Outland map which is for 60-70 players. Also do take note that TBC is an expansion pack and u will still need the old WoW to play it.

so basically i can still play the original WoW from level 1-60 ?

with all the same things ? except for i cant go to some maps and get gears above level 60 right?????

yes basically thats what happens if u dont upgrade to the expansion pack (TBC).

here's my story,

1. 1 week ago i downloaded the 3.5GB file and installed WoW. Applied for the 10 days trial on the site which took 5 minutes.
2. I played until i finally maxed out the trial run.
3. So, i went out and bought the full box from mygomall for RM89.
4. Upgraded today with the cd key provided inside.
5. So i have 32 days of WoW to play until i have to use a game card.

why do you get the free 32 days?

its 2 days left of the trial + 30 day free after upgrading to full account

so you mean that if i buy the one with the cd and the game card i would be getting 3 month of playing?

no the 2 days is actually from the trial. i played for 8 days and upgraded. so basically they give me the 2 days left from the trial and the 30 from the upgrade.

and yes if u buy the bundle you get 3 months. the bundle sells for RM199.

can i repeat trial over and over again? but new account?

what do u mean by repeat trial?
u play 10 days but u are limited like:
- u can only get up to level 20
- no trading
- can't use auction house
- etc.

i mean create new account under trial

and play a new account
