but, i don't think they will simply give-away for free . after all those users r "pure cash cow" .

as u see, users have to beg them/be bitch to be allow to apply to the higher package with expensive (so called "promo") price.
those 8M,4M,2M does not a big deal for them actually,
but any additional RM10 will boost their income insanely.

Please don't hype too much . Optical fiber is the better way to go.

ADSL / VDSL/VDSL2 is using DSL technology..so, basically they are the same thing.
I'm affraid TM infrastructure is far below the par.. so it won't be cheap too, if we use it national-wide. (while other country is using 18Mbps on ADSL in last decade, we only offer 2-4Mbps Max ,and 8Mbps is the max speed u can get in 2018)
The stability and the futureproof is not as good as optical fiber.

btw, it may still to be a good option for those appartment or condo without optical fiber . but, i think optical fiber is still the better way to go(if their appartment management is wise enought..).

no, UNIFI u have to return the modem （for some reason we don't know, even if it is outdated now)..always like that.
other devices like router, cordless phone, user can keep it.

I thought TM already gave the answer? will keep upgrading them to UNIFI (not sure fibre optic or not???? ) until 2023..??

Seems that this company still keep trying to "monkey" and manipulating their users(but this time, UNIFI users was affected as well) ..

btw, It did make some wonder while they were annoucing gonna turbo all users up to 10x of speed , a few months back.
but, alotx of users(including UNIFI) feel miserable and un-fair within these months..

Actually, no need FREE turbo at all , they just need simply offer 3 new packages with lower prices and 2 years contract (eg: 30Mbps/RM79, 100Mbps/RM129, 500Mbps/RM???),
and let users to choose what is best for them (depend their current package price and speed) , users can choose freely before 2019.01.01 ,without penalty regardless their current packages
Put all the efforts to standardize the prices and expanding the fibre optic to "screamyx"/"UNIFI-aLike" area..
That's simple. (and it is a win(tm tied users with 2 years contract), win(users who want lower prices have choices) ,win( users happy = goverment happy ) situation... now, it is too late..)


p/s: I think 500Mbps is the best they could without any hassle, at them moment... they can have their time to upgrade their backbone for 1Gbps later, behind the scene.. I think all users don't want be a part of Alpha/Beta testers..

u know what...the stock drop, coz many people feel no confidence with them, and sold their stocks.
not because of the consumer may pay a lower internet price...
up and down, buy and sell is very common in stock market..

frankly, I think most of the "player" only care how to make their own money in this money game.
they can buy at a high price, and sell it at a even higher price, they still earn profit.
or, buy it at a low price,and sell it while it reach a very high price ..
which unlikely in this case, coz those player feel no confidence with them, and would like to sell as many as they could ,
cut their lose ,and put their money into other stocks.. so thats why the stock price keep dropping..
we cannot blame anyone, coz it is the nature of this money game..
if players feel confidence again, they will buy it again..very sure..

if EPF don't want the capital, they don't even need to join the money game, just simply do it like a family business,don't want don't come, swap the flies still make it a day.

It is not all about the prices, also the outdated-speed and TM's arrogant, so many years they refuse to make the change,whilst the internet world keep changing rapidly .
they cannot blame the users asking for a better price and better speed. they cannot blame people don't believe them, u know.

I you googling around since 2012 ,u would know that some places of the world,the ADSL package only left one (or two, if limited quota make the count) ,with maximum speed they could. (average speed 8MBps . but most users will get about 15Mbps in real life. )
They don't have 1Mbps,4Mbps,8Mbps (packages with different price) such a thing many many years ago..
when it become a fasion around the world @2015/2016 , we still hold the same thing.
now, @2018, despite the change of package name, the prices and speeds still remain same.
(can u even survice @2018 with the upload speed 384Kbps or 512Kbps ?? )

Do u got the point? they don't even tried to tune the packages to fit the world. not to mention the expensive prices and the outdated-speed.

All over the years, how many times,each time while UNIFI users got the free upgrade(without renewing contract), what the streamyx users got ?

I think the minister is doing the right thing about the streamyx issue (=Unifi Broadband).
TM have to change , for the sake of the whole Malaysia (I mean EPF)
u cannot blame the users or the messengers.

I think from the view of Unifi fibre optic, the price is down..It is dropped to RM129(which is shown at tm website, not so called "special offer" like before.) and the speed was increased to 100Mbps,
so, I think most people will happy for this.


From the view of streamyx or unifi-lite(especally original unifi-lite 10Mbps users), the target is still far from completed.
and ,we don't know how many people already benefit from the so called "free upgrade" and the end of last year.
and, for the one haven't get the free upgrade , when will they get it?
(IMHO, most streamyx don't want to drop that stupid streamyx price, what they want is to get rid of the streamyx and move on to the fibre optic (or unifi lite for a temporarily relief).. )

I do believe what they offer you is Unifi Lite 10Mbps (copper) plan, which is 10Mbps Down/ 5Mbps Up.
The Old VIP 10Mbps plan(fibre optic) , which is 10Mbps Down/10Mbps Up..

It is a hot topic (kind of, but not as hot as Unifi(fibre).. around 2018.12.31(before and after ) ..since people got the postcard from tm.
