I request to change plan from streamyx to unifi lite RM129 one using the websites. got called yesterday saying my area is not fully utilize for unifi but theres already a unifi user around. so they gonna put me in the waiting list and told me to wait for 2 weeks. if nothing within that time can call 100.

I hope theres something.
*
I just did that 2 weeks ago. Was told that I will be on waiting list as there was no ports available. Yesterday TM called to inform me that there is now ports available and if I wanted to upgrade. They offered me the RM89 and RM129 packages. After I enquire further, they say they can also give me Unifi Lite at my current streamyx subscription of RM90 a month. So if they do call, try and bargain with them.

Thanks for the heads up, really appreciated it.

Sorry. My bad. I got confused with the Unifi Lite naming. Didn't know that Lite is now 100Mbps. What they offer me is the old 10Mbps for the existing Streamyx price. blush.gif

Whats this Unifi lite they offer? 10mbps unlimited quota?
*
What I did was I applied to switch to Unifi via the portal. They called up and offered me the standard packages for 30Mbps and 100Mbps. So I asked them why I wasn't given any special upgrade? The customer service only then told me about the 10Mbps plan. She said
1) it will be at the current subscription rate I was paying. I did ask if I could get it for RM80 but they said no. So my current subscription is RM90.
2) No quota.
3) there is no contract.
4) price includes some free call minutes (can't remember how many minutes).
5) can watch free channels on Unifi Play TV app.

Technician will be coming to install tomorrow (Sunday) so I will update if all above is true.

Many thanks for the update. What was your current Streamyx price before? Was it RM90? Maybe that's why they couldn't give you RM80...
*
Yes, I was paying RM90 for my 2Mbps Streamyx. I read somewhere that some people were offered the upgrade at RM80 so that's why I asked.

Today the technicians came to install. So I am now on Unifi Lite 10Mbps (On the self-service portal, it is referred to "unifi Lite 10Mbps HE Lite (3M)"). The plan comes with STD20 Voice plan, Ruby Plus Pack and "Promo Discount Perpetual" (so guess the price is fixed). So far so good. Now waiting if they will Turbo me to 100Mbps laugh.gif

are you using copper? seems like no more unifi lite 10mbps options available.
*
From what I understand is TM will offer Streamyx users upgrade to 10Mbps at your current subscription rate. However, they will try and push you to take the 30Mbps and 100Mbps options.

I insisted on the 10Mbps. I had a look at the cable and it appears to have 2 clear cables and a copper wire. The technician said the cable is fibre.

Anyone of you receive pop up from TM?

https://unifi.com.my/khabarbaikstreamyxupgradeeligible

I click the link it show

https://check.unifi.com.my/upgrade-now-verify

Don't know whether it will up my price or extend contract ?

Now monthly is RM9X on 8Mbps.

The thing is I have been checking if I qualify via the link for months and it always says "Coming Soon". When I finally decided to "Change My Plan" via the self-service portal, suddenly TM says I can upgrade. For me it was a no-brainer, upgrade from 2Mbps to 10Mbps at RM90.

My suggestion is to call them and request for an upgrade. Don't rely on the link.

i missed out the Free upgrade from streamyx to Unifi. i only realize this things exist after 2 days the campaign end. called to TM they say cannot help.

Gonna say bye to them next week. go for maxis

I mentioned this earlier. I was stuck on Streamyx even though my area has Unifi coverage. Waiting for them to offer me free upgrade but nothing happened. In the end, I just logged in to the self-service portal and requested for an upgrade.

TM called and offered me their usual Unifi package but I wasn't keen because my Streamyx was only RM90 unlimited. I didn't want their 30Mbps plan because there's quota. And their 100Mbps was above my budget.

They said my name wasn't in the list so no free upgrade. After some talking, they said they have a 10Mbps unlimited package with Ruby Pack that they can offer me for the same price I was paying.

I suggest you speak to them and ask about the 10Mbps plan. In a way, it is a free upgrade to Unifi.

Yes, the TM rep assured me that it's unlimited.

They keep calling my house phone every week to pester me to upgrade. Should I wait for further announcements from TM and Govind Singh because something better is coming? Or is the announcement already confirmed to be that Unifi Air thingy?

Is Unifi Air a good deal at all? Since not using cable it's unstable right?

If confirmed no cap then it is worth it. They only offered me a 10Mbps with unlimited at RM90. Otherwise, I have to go for the 30Mbps with 60GB cap or 100Mbps at RM129.
