I also request unifi ever since 2013 but no response, and some more i live in Penang island near city area. Even though we live in low cost flat, doesn't mean we don't have the money to pay for high speed internet ranting.gif

TM will regard your place as "low priority" or just plain ignore the place.. like my cousin's flat, housing next to his flat all full unifi, his flat just next to the housing..even the termination box also infront of his place. TM just refused to install stating no coverage.
lol, even my mom doesn't even touch the hypptv..just watch those on android box
i know right

It's not like we don't have the money to pay, it's more like we are willing to pay for better services but TM dont want bangwall.gif and btw since internet is human right, Malaysia should add a law like the minimum requirement for internet speed is around 30mbps to 50mbps since most people would be satisfy around that speed bruce.gif . And for heavy user like me who need more speed due to streaming gaming or whatnot can add on but for a more cheaper price thumbup.gif [TM should also install fiber optic all around the country since they are the only who can do it but wont due to monopoly... and don't give me stupid reason like due to technical issue or blah blah blah, its WANT or DONT WANT simple as that puke.gif ]

not enough users asking maybe in the area.
if high density, tm will keep adding ports and also the ports are something very hard to get if ppl keep booking in advance before u want to get it.

Nah, most of my flat users are uncle and auntie. sad.gif

Lol I just saw these 2 post from some authorized agent from TM

Existing Unifi user will enjoy speed upgrade up to 800mbps starting 15 AUG without additional charges. [Depends on your location speed cap, some areas only support up to 30mbps hence there's no upgrade or so.]

Existing Streamyx user will enjoy speed upgrade to maximum 8mbps starting 15 Aug 2018 without additional charges. [Depends on your location speed cap, some areas only support up to 4mbps hence there's no upgrade or so.]

The words DEPENDS ON YOUR LOCATION... ROFL

So right now i'm using stimix 8mbps means i don't have any upgrade benefit or even discount? I still have to pay rm160 every month for ur dumbass 8mbps? Pay for overpriced package but for little speed... means nothing has changed in the end. Sendiri cakap sendiri syok. Mahai TM bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Yup, if it is displayed as SUBB, then unifi 10Mbps VDSL is available.
I used that information from miloaisdino website for helping my friends 'convincing' TM to upgrade their 4Mbps streamyx to 10Mbps VDSL last time. nod.gif
Something about their sales section map database isn't up to date and after 'some checking' using those AddressId and SwitchId by TM staff, voila, they got their 10Mbps VDSL.
If it is NON-SUBB, you are screwed. Either wait for fibre deployment (which my insider said the fiber deployment somehow slows down to minimum this year, probably caused by turbo upgrade phase and lotta people downgrading to 100Mbps package ), but most of the time, you will be offered with Unifi Mobile crap if you complain. dry.gif

There's nothing we stimix users can do... hopefully YB will announce good news next month... but i highly doubt so LOL

My taman in the list under streamyx..eventually will be converted to fibre?
*
u can see whats the max speed connection at ur place, and if u list under SUBB, u're in luck cuz u have far more greater chance of having unifi than those like me at non SUBB

I think, TM will use Terragraph for Streamyx. Don't know about it latency anda ping . But, download speed anda upload speed is far higher than fibre.
Anybody from George town here? Terragraph bye YTL already there.
It is a wireless with speed up to 4gbps
*
thats what i think as well cuz i also live in penang, but wont terragraph will have data limit or whatnot cuz u know, YES LOL

probably gonna be unifi wireless with unlimited quota and some discount for streamyx users? but i dont hope too much for wireless stability, cuz i tried my digi 4g hotspot, the upload speed is ok but the download speed is just downright unstable and terrible, max just 2/3 mbps.

I just asked tm staff at tmpoint.

This is what I was told:
Unifi AIR cannot be applied, TM will contact you and ask if you want to try it, it will be one month trial, after that if you want to subsribe it will be 2 years contract. Labuan already has 2 people using this unifi air (as in their live stream of streamyx users offered unifi air as pilot programme)

unifi air uses tm’s own 4g/lte, small coverage. If no coverage it will use celcom 3G (celcom didn’t give them 4G to use)

kinda stupid, since most places that doesn’t have unifi fibre also most likely no unifi air 4G coverage.
*
so if cannot apply then whats the point? knowing tm staff attitude, wait until 2100 also wont contact users, bodo betul
