yaloh...why not everyone in msia has TIME coverage ?

oh wait...tm is not allowing that

If your area is already covered by TM and not high density, I don't think other service provider will be interested to invest, in term of R.O.I.
Move to a new development area where telecom infra is built by Time, but some residents usually complain they prefer TM.
(I stayed at Time-exclusive area)
There are some Maxis exclusive zone and Digi exclusive zones, they may not get TM's or Time's service.

mati-mati tm don't want to reduce streamyx price. skmm also tunduk to TM..
either wait for unifi/other isp to expand the coverage..or switch to mobile (a lot things affect the line tho)

well, just dont stop sending aduan skmm, never close them at all! TM using batch copy template to close your report without bothering to act.

Send your aduan to Sarawak Multimedia Authority as well.

I doubt it will work... fed gov can't mess with TM. State gov? cant too...

SMA/Sacofa are tasked to cover the areas not covered by Federal-managed TM.
Sacofa's fibre points are almost everywhere in Kuching-Samarahan. If TM/MCMC can't do the job, then Sacofa-Celcom / SMA shall take over. Abang Jo allocates RM1b for this expansion.
Celcom Timur (j.v. with Sabah Govt) provides FTTx service in Sabah (Since 2017), RM80 for 40Mbps unlimited. We shall expect Celcom (Celcom is a shareholder of Sacofa) will provide FTTx service in Kuching-Samarahan region in the near future, as they are doing it in Samalaju now.

so, if max speed only 4mpbs, they won't upgrade the streamyx infrastructure to 8mpbs?

Upgrade to Unifi Lite/Air (not immediately pending infra upgrade ), streamyx will be discontinued.

TM announced three #khabarbaik today.
#1 Unifi Air - Unlimited home wireless broadband with unlimited quota at RM79/month. Runs on 2.3GHz TD-LTE network.
#2 All Streamyx customers get Unifi Lite at RM69/month. Will take effect starting September 2019. This is an interim solution while TM expands its fibre network
#3 Fast 2-hour on-ground support by Unifi Elite squad. This will be rolled out starting October 2019 in selected areas.

TM CEO Datuk Noor Kamarul says TM will overcome the copper network challenges by utilising fibre, wireless and Gigawire for their network rollout. 70% of Streamyx customers will enjoy a faster network by end 2020. New network rollout to be completed by 2021.
