Aside from those problems, how to upgrade 4mb to 8mb or 10mb streamyx FOR FREE?

I called 100, they said to check here, but only this BS unifi coming to your area? How to apply that 4mb to 8mb?

Price change no need to think so long.
We fight for fair. Not logic u pay high price for a slow speed.

If we successfully fight for price drop to rm50, tm will start panic because streamyx users still at large will contribute low sales to tm.
Then only they start to upgrade.

Hello everyone, today, we reiterate our commitment to enhance the broadband experience for #Streamyx customers and continue our ongoing discussions with the Government and MCMC to address issues faced by these customers.

Building a balanced and inclusive digital nation will require a harmonious collaboration and cooperation among the industry players, MCMC and the government; and we will continue to play an integral and active part in the dialogue, debate and conversations in our pursuit to deliver high-speed broadband with a wider nationwide coverage to all Malaysians.

We will continue to invest in infrastructure to provide connectivity and elevate the experience for all our customers with the primary focus of expanding high-speed broadband coverage in the country.

Copper networks are legacy technology that is not up to the task of meeting the demands of an aspiring digital nation like our own. The limitations of a copper network is more pronounced for Streamyx customers, where a network that is build on copper technology is only able to deliver speeds of up to 8Mbps. To improve this a longer term and more permanent solution must be implemented but it will require time and heavy financial investment, however for the betterment of the Malaysia, this is our only option.

To this end, we are seeking a win-win approach with the Government and address the issues faced by Streamyx customers once and for all. This will involve accelerating discussions with the Ministry and MCMC to explore specific funding options, fit-for-purpose technologies and optimising industry mechanisms.

To date, we’re happy to announce that we have successfully upgraded nearly 50% of over 340,000 Streamyx customers residing in unifi coverage areas to unifi; at no additional cost. We would like to call out to the 170,000 Streamyx customers who have yet to grab this opportunity for the free upgrade to #unifi, to do so. Our aim is to have all Streamyx customers residing in unifi coverage areas to be upgraded to unifi by March 2019. With your cooperation, we believe that this is possible.

For Streamyx customers who are residing where unifi is not available yet, we are committed to continuously invest in technologies that can bring high-speed broadband to you. Meanwhile, we will double the speed of Streamyx customers in areas where technology permits. About 180,000 Streamyx customers in areas where unifi is not available will enjoy this speed upgrade absolutely free with no additional costs. We expect to complete the upgrade for these customers by the end of this year.

Combined, it is worth noting that this is the largest broadband upgrade exercise -- in terms of scale – ever completed by a single operator in Malaysia.

Streamyx customers who are eligible for these speed upgrades, you will be contacted via email, SMS and phone. For us to be able to get in touch with you, we encourage you to check and update your contact details at unifi.com.my or via the unifi care app available on Android Play Store and Apple App Store.

However, a balance of 500,000 Streamyx customers remain to be upgraded. For this, we are calling for discussions with the Government to quickly reach a mutual beneficial outcome for these customers.

i submit so many requests.. last week saturday went to tmpoint asking for price reduction. they said cannot..i almost wanted to scold them.. you all tm staff sleeping ka.. ask for price reduction cant.. upgrade.. still need to wait..

What promises / manifesto? Fibre to all cities in Malaysia and 50% reduction of current streamyx price? Open fibre market? Cheaper 4g wireless plan?
unless TM lay fibre cable across Malaysia before malaysia general election 15, they have enough funds to do it, no?

I dont think TM dwill reduce streamyx price. For unifi if they did not reduce the price Maxis will steal all unifi customers. For streamyx we do not have any alternative. What we can do is just report everyday via FB, twitter, MCMC or if we have someone in stream media (TV3, Awani etc) should be wonderful. People need to know they pay higher compared with unifi.

We can stop dreaming now, directly from minister, at least for TM copper / streamyx.

The 3 to 5, that was unfortunate he believe in TM bulls**t answer about streamyx issue.
