Myvi auto 1.3 maintenance at 60,000 mileage is recommended replace or change any spare parts or oil?

I'm planning to change gear oil, engine oil, transmission oil and brake oil at perodua service centre (because i want to save cost and i heard that their oil is genuine and better quality than those buy outside, is it real?)

Any other spare parts recommended to change? For eg

air filter
fuel filter
axle oil
transfer oil
coolant
brake fluid
cabin filter
battery water
buzzer horn

Previously i already did 6 times of maintanence at service centre

At 50,000km, i change these:

oil filter
plug casket
spark plug
ac filter
engine oil
gear oil
battery t. protector
w/washer
magnet

Currently the car mileage is 67,000km

How frequent or under what condition should do alignment and balancing?

It is better if you could provide me each spare parts can used up to how many mileage or months biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Really appreciate your patience to read until here and solve my question drool.gif drool.gif
Thank you Thank you

What year is your Myvi made? Check this link: http://www.perodua.com.my/service-maintena...myvi-at-2014/60

Gear oil and transmission oil are the same thing don't you think? biggrin.gif
Since you've changed your gear oil at 50k km, I would change the gear oil later at 90k km if I were you.

How old is your coolant? When did you last change it? If it's 2 or 3-years-old, then time to change it.

Summary: change engine oil, brake fluid, air filter and maybe coolant.
Don't expect to save money at the Service Centre, go to another workshop to save on costs.

To me ALL these things may be ommitted, your wallet and the environment will thank you for it.

air filter- take it out and see if it's dirty (like, really black then replace, abit gray won't affect your car)

fuel filter- replace if clogged (fuel not reaching engine)

axle oil - MYVI has no axle, only 2 driveshaft. these contain grease that last the life of the shaft

transfer oil- I don't know what this means. Myvi does not have a transfer case. If you mean gearbox oil then 50, 000 change already.

coolant- no need to replace unless your car overheats or it's been many years. At most just top up. Open the radiator cap when COLD and look at the colour and for signs of rusting. If got then only flush the coolant and clean the radiator.

brake fluid- this is a form of hydraulic fluid, it never needs to be replaced unless it's leaking. If your brakes feel soft then either the pads needs replacing or need to bleed the brakes.

cabin filter- replace if your AC got funny smell

battery water- you can see if need to top up. if need, buy from petrol station and diy.

buzzer horn- what??

spark plug- replace when no spark (engine jerking, misfiring, less power etc)

tyre alignment - only do if the alignment lari (you go on a straight road let go the steering but the car go left or right)

balancing- only do if there is vibration when you drive

rotation- it's a good idea to rotate your tires every 10k km.

AC- if not cold, top up the gas first, if still not cold then only service. If cold enough, DON'T DO ANYTHING

gasket- what is this gasket for? there are hundreds of gaskets in a car

engine oil/filter- if they changed at 50k, shouldn't need to now. you can replace, but they are definitely ripping you off on the price

looking at their list, it will definitely be cheaper if you go to a REPUTABLE workshop.
I'm sorry if my reply is crude, but all they are doing is taking your money for work that may not be necessary. I'm aware that this is the recommenced maintenance schedule, but maintenance is a major source of income for all car companies, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt. Myvi are owned by many Malaysians so ask around or join the Myvi club. They will give you good advice for free. The engine in Myvi is very tough, it will give you reliable performance for many years regardless whether you pamper it or not. The reason I'm asking you not to so easily replace things is because when you throw away your old oil or old filter, it is costing the rest of the world something. It also cost us something when they made your new items.

Please don't simply throw things away and replace things that don't need replacing. Do us and yourself a favour.
