My company got a HP laptop's screen is black after turned on. But when i connect to monitor , the display still can on.
I've send to ALL IT (Ikea) and the technical said screen got problem and it cost rm260 but an hour later, the technical called me again and say that the on board VGA card got problem also. He said it can't be repair.

May i know is it true?

Anyone can suggest me any place can be repair with reasonable price & service.

how can the onboard VGA have problem when there is display when you plug onto external display ?

Below is the sequence
1. HP laptop's screen is black after turned on
2. the display still can on after plug to monitor (before i sent to ALL IT)
3. Sent to ALL IT , technical say screen problem after checked
4. hours later, technical say again the onboard VGA card problem so can't be repaired.

I dont know whether they spoiled the vga card during the checking or what. But i personally tested it can display when plug to monitor before i sent to checked.

Anyhow, may i know the laptop can be repaired or not? U know any repair shop with reasonable price & service?

If replace screen only, RM260 is reasonable.
If they say onboard chip is dead, they'll them to fuccke themselves for damaging your otherwise ok laptop since it worked previously with external display.

Honestly, if onboard chip is broken, imo better to just get cheap replacement laptop at 1K+

my friend can do it. he repair laptop till the chipset level. and he provide free checking. he will give u a quotation to do or not after checking. if not, no charge.

that is how sincere people doing job. real checking, not based on assumption this wrong, thats wrong.

Tried.External display such as projector or monitor is no problem. Just the laptop screen only .

Can pm me your friend's detail? My dell laptop screen flickers sometimes when I am using it. Dell suspects it is motherboard or screen or just the cable problem. The price quotation they gave is just
