Just to counter Goldfries statement. No all KMC folks voted for Kent as some of us voted Adrian's Best (another contender from KMC).

On top of it, one needs to compare the individual players performance when the player is in the same form. Otherwise the comparison might not be fair.

Definitely Ng as he has slightly better leadership with same level in terms of experience.
But I won't want either one of them if I have the money as solid coach is always better (i.e. faster in level up your trainees). |

No worry.... everyone makes mistake.... I was down with debt for a very long time during my first season (happened to get into a same series with two of my neighbours who had joined a season earlier than me).
Was poor.... and my team is weak. Got whacked left right center week in and week out.... but I learned and start analysing the game. Eventually managed to finish 3rd in 1st season and got promoted in the following season. The best part is... I was promoted to the same series in Div IV as my neighbour who went up a season earlier than me. What's the odd man!!! This post has been edited by hwooi: Apr 17 2007, 07:12 PM |

You should check out Goldfries' newbie guide. Very informative and keep one from making silly mistakes.
One fast rule of thumb though... always sell young (under 20 with solid skills) and buy old (solid or above with good experience) for beginners and you would be winning your matches easily. See my team... if without my trainees, the entire team will qualify for retirees league. |

GK Training is always the best choice for newbie as it's with lowest investment. And of course... low investment brings low return but worry about that later la....
I have been a GK Trainer for 4 seasons and hopefully can change soon for bigger and better things. Savings in having local players is overrated (or at least to me) in view of limited pool and choices. For most of the beginner teams, we spend more in staff than player wages so don't bother la... Do bring in only when you are quite advance or maybe doing the NS for the NT / U20 team. This post has been edited by hwooi: Apr 19 2007, 02:57 PM |

Not an expert at all, esp when I joined just a season earlier than you.
Don't rush into changing training regime as the initial cost could be quite high. If you go for cheaper but older trainees, then it will take longer time to improve your teams, which again might not be ideal. Also, don't sell your GK trainee as yet (unless they are 20 or over now, as no point training old trainees). If they are young, 18 or 19yo, then try to train them up further till Brilliant at least so that you can fetch a better price. And since you are preparing for relegation, then go ahead and have bigger stadium for more income in long term (but only when you are sure you can fill it). Having said that, it's still early in the season, you can still make it if you play your game with great tactical skills. You may even consider bringing in some old players (for cost-efficient purposes) to strengthen the team and give a better fight. Even if you failed... at least you had tried and learned rather than giving up just that. PS: Advice on having old players are quite subjective as many against it (fearing skills drop). But for me... I am happy with my old dogs... except occasional heartache when you discover primary skill drops. |

I think Redtooth had been doing everything that he can... and those are right decision (or at least I'm in no position nor better idea than that)... yet we are unable to get more points...
Maybe NT is really out of luck... same like Redtooth himself in his series... keke... just joking.... |

No worry.... check out the latest announcement.
Soon the salary will be lower (though only MYR1k per player), interest on debt 1/3 lesser while sponsor $$ increased by MYR40k, interest on savings reintroduced (but only half of previously).... etc |

Apart from sponsorship, in higher division you would meet with "older" team which translate to more fans coming over for the matches.

QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Aug 15 2007, 04:00 AM) how to bring up my sponsor? right now my sponsor about 200k... right now i cant afford more than formidable players... help me plz... Apart from the division, it also depends on your sponsor's mood (spokeperson will help) and fan base.No worry.... it will grow slowly but surely (esp. when you win more matches and they will love you more...) |
